  1. Don't think it has been repped... There is a thread on here about it but I don't think it has Liquid Metal in the title. It's a shame, it's a sweet watch!
  2. I'm getting ready to send my MBW off and have the CG worked on... is it worth having the date window filed while it's out?
  3. I know on Andrew's website, there was a preorder link....
  4. I do believe WM9 more or less vanished a while ago... so you can only pick up used watches.
  5. Just getting into the hobby (or obsession ), those are the two names you need to know! There certainly are other dealers but they will take care of you and your first few watches! Welcome and have fun!
  6. Still cannot write on your raffle post. I'll take two. How do I pay for them; will you send me an invoice or do I just send the money?
  7. Looks really good! I'm getting ready to send mine out to have the crown guard done and the baby lumed up. Is doing the date window worth it? I have a MBW and I'm wondering if I should have it filed a little while it's out?
  8. If you're serious about getting work done by him, stick around the forum and get to know the members... if you become liked and show you're not a chump looking to waste Zig's time (like a lot of others were), someone will give you his e-mail.
  9. +1 for Katt on RWI. I've contacted him and he's really nice, honest, I'm sad that we couldn't do business!
  10. For some of the sellers, you'll have to open the pictures that are in their postings to get their e-mail address and/or website.
  11. ubi, will you PM me please? I've tried to PM you twice and something is wrong with my connection... I can respond to PMs but not start them!
  12. Bingo! That's exactly what I want... the look of vintage with the brightness of new lume! Does Vac do it, too? Isn't The Zigmeister unavilable for a while or something?
  13. Ha, get the watch back, good one! believe me, I want it to glow.. I want astronauts to be able to tell the time from space looking at my watch! Can I have the best of both worlds: vintage looks, torch functionality? That would be ideal!
  14. Great looking watch. I don't want the brownish, either... nice off white perhaps!
  15. It already has a gen crown and the holes are drilled. Any word on where to get a pearl? That should be on the list, too!
  16. best compliment I could get! Do you do the CG work? I've heard good things about your work! And I will probably end up buying one of your date wheels from another member who offered me one!
  17. One and all! It's with great pleasure to present my MBW 1680 thus far. The watch came out of Bill's immense collection with some handy work of fellow member Justin B. It has a gen crown and tube and what is believed to be a gen crystal (but it is not confirmed... ). Looking for your honest opinions... as you can see, I still have some plans for it yet! Personally, I think the date wheel font is skinny but maybe it's just me? If that's the case, that is the next item on the list of things to do followed shortly by some luming bringing me to my next question... I want a more vintage lume but I don't want it to be over the top. Anyone have pictures/suggestions of what route to go? Thanks!
  18. Buy a PAM and send it to a modder? A few hundred for the watch and another couple hundred for mods... high quality PAM and you're spending the money you want to.
  19. +1 on e-mailing Josh. Chances are, he'll be able to take care of you. I own a number of automatic watches and have never had one die while on my wrist. Sure, they will die if you let them sit in the watch box for three days but as long as you're active during the day, you shouldn't run into a problem taking it off at night and it dying. In fact, a lot of people on the forum will recommend never to hand wind an automatic movement watch as it strips the gears inside. The suggested method is to shake it a few times, set the time, and then go on your merry way.
  20. He wouldn't be on the trusted dealer list if he wasn't trustworthy... to keep your money for one watch and risk the business of all these members: Not worth it at all.
