  1. Contact Caruwe, he might be able to help.
  2. Very nice work, I am impressed. Perhaps the future for us 'collectors' desiring forged cases could be on the up & up.
  3. This is my dilemma as well. I can't part with my watch, but I don't wear it due to its very small size. Many years ago I used to wear it--back when smaller watches were the norm. I just can't pull it off nowadays with a fairly large wrist and the inherently tiny size of the MKXV. The nice part though is that the watch is quite thick. It somewhat fools the eye into thinking the watch is slightly bigger than it really is. I have been hoping for a very long time that IWC will make a new Mark series watch that is 42mm-44mm. Perhaps one day...
  4. Nice watch. I made one of these many years ago. Still have it. Great to have another club member Took me a long time to collect the parts.
  5. There are indeed some nice ones!
  6. No he didn't. The watch was also waterproof-tested Maybe he cut the length of the screws a little?
  7. Here's my lovely AP Diver with AR'd crystal, AR'd date magnifier, dial+hands+bezel relume and water-proofing. The mods were done by Caruwe and his work is impeccable. The relume is so well executed that it looks OEM factory! I added a Survivor rubber strap to the watch just to switch it up a little from the plain rubber strap that comes with the watch. The Diver buckle fits the large 24mm end of the Survivor strap perfectly. So, for the record, the Survivor strap and the AP Diver strap are the same sizes. Look carefully at my pics and you'll see the incredible AR on the crystal and date cyclops. Sometimes I look at my watch when wearing it and it looks like there's no crystal on it at all! And also note the insane relume work on the dial markers, hands and rotating bezel ring. Uwe's work is highly recommended! Cheers
  8. To further elaborate Watchmeister's post above... The AP Bands hornback that fits the diver buckle was intentionally made for the Survivor. Please note that the Survivor buckle is the same size as the Diver 24mm buckle. Also note that the strap holes for the buckle for both the Diver buckle & the Survivor buckle are rectangular in shape (not the typical circular hole). Cheers
  9. It's wider than that, 24mm. AP Bands wide buckle is only 22mm, so you can't use the rep buckle with an AP Bands strap. And the AP Bands 22mm buckle costs $85 lol! If you want a leather strap to fit with the rep buckle, you need one custom made $$$
  10. Nice watch, just got mine back from Uwe with a relume, ar'd cyclops and ar'd crystal. The watch looks insane--especially with the AR! You're gonna love the crystal.
  11. The case does not scratch. I've been wearing it daily since August 11th, in a rough environment. I've wacked it hard many times--nothing, not a scratch!
  12. I'm really diggin' this watch! Very comfortable. And the lume is terrific too. The size is perfect, it does not look too big nor is it heavy on the wrist.
  13. I'm wearing mine as I type this... Very nice watch!!!
  14. Found an alien in my safe this morning. I cleverly decided to strap it to my wrist.
  15. The dial is amazing, very nicely executed. Glossy with concentric circle patterns on part of the dial. The overall feel of the watch is terrific. The lovely Venus movement is finished with Cote De Geneve and blued screws etc. Very well appointed. To me, it's an overlooked rep. There was little to no fanfare made about it and other 5070 type chronos when these models came out. I've had this since the TRC days but I've noticed that it was still available a while back.
  16. My favorite dress watch... Paired it with a genuine alligator strap. The Venus mov't is fantastic. I've had this watch for years and it works flawlessly.
