  1. Odd couples make the best mutts! Nice pair!
  2. As you all suspect, I might be interested in some parts. Handpicking via expert is a must though! And Vietnam is thee land of hustlers and handcuff-happy cops. Parts are less than $100.
  3. The new SD is super super super IDIOTIC. Looks like Rolex created this watch out of the fumes from the bowels of their Gas Escape Valve. I don't mean to be gross, but this watch looks like total sh*t.
  4. I have a feeling this ain't gonna be made. Like I've said 100+ times, anything so simple in design is too utterly complicated to rep. The factories wouldn't dare attempt such a difficult project. Besides, at this point, China is wholly enthralled with a Nouveaux-Riches mentality, so repping idiotic watches such as Grahams and DeWitts fit the bill better than the lowly zen-like simple MK XVI.
  5. Most folks are still waiting for a decent MKXV rep, too! Anyhow, remember that for the rep makers, the more simple the watch, the harder it is to replicate!! All proportions must be perfectly executed in order for the final outcome to be 1:1. Also, some of u might recall that I had to go out and build my own MKXV using mostly OEM parts since a good rep never materialized after all these years. I hope this will not be same issue with MKXVI. BTW, BUMP!!!!!!!!
  6. @Homer: Love your ride! For the 8, I'm working on Supercharged 520bhp with 3.91LSD
  7. Incredible, The Zigmeister! Really incredible!
  8. So many Rolexes, so many Subs... I am embarrassed as usual and will put her back into the safe for another 6 months. Too bad I could never sell her, she's worth a pretty penny no doubt. It's funny though... Rolex is as ubiquitous as cheesewhizz. Makes sense as to why, but still, it makes me cringe at the notion that everyone and their mother is wearing the same dorky suede fringed brown jacket with hi-heel boots and a kamikaze bandana. She's real purrty though.
  9. I love the Watch Boys gator. It's better than OEM. How do I know? Well, the answer, young sleuth, is obvious You want quality? You ain't a stingy dude? You wanna pay to play? Avoid OEM and get Watch Boys. It's that good. Or better yet, it's gooder than OEM
  10. Hey Gio, my dream is for Canon to make a full-frame sensor P&S camera. I think I am going to add a G9 to the fold. I need a P&S that is not a POS! Cheers
  11. Love Canon! I use my 5D more than any other camera for professional apps. Well actually, my XTi backup is really what gets used the most probably--worry free and I'm in love with EF-S 17-55 f2.8 with IS. It smokes my 24-70L. BTW, tell us more about the small softboxes. I was thinking of picking up a G9 to replace my shittty Leica D-Lux 3. The G9 is supposed to be an amazing little thing. Do you know if the ST-E2 wireless transmitter works with the G9?
  12. Isn't it great that we've got these hobbies that are akin to throwing $$$ out the window?!!??
  13. And lastly (since 7" singles are so brief): Been on an I.R. kick again as of late--resurrecting the old dusty scratchy sounds...
  14. I love this watch!!! Amongst pals...
  15. Glad to hear that the collectors are "aware" of our love interest Cheers
  16. Nice! His 3 LPs are amazing! For me: Circa 1969... The Deviants LP #3 (their last LP)
  17. I do recall that you had an E34--great ride (G35 is no slouch either, great car!!). The easiest way to get the M60/M62 engines faster off the line is software mod (Wokke 2000 rips over Conforti - especially at standstill starts) & differential like you said. Limited Slip helps, too. My gas mileage has not really changed. The engine does rev a little higher but only over 100mph, so the compromise is great. If I could cut out 1500lbs, I would. My solution is the E34 ESS Supercharger I'd love to have an E34 M5, but might end up with either an E24 M6 or an E9 project car. Cheers
  18. Interestingly (or not interestingly), I know the Aptera folks and Mr. Fiskar. Not important, but facts nonetheless. The Aptera designer is working on a 2nd model that is more like a car. ***Hint: Aptera will be driving "green" actors too/from the Oscars--one at a time
  19. She's an 840Ci V8. Chose the V8 since supercharging is a viable option. Also, engine software tuning is a cinch. Overall a lot more options to modify with way way more brake horsepower results. The other choice was to drop in a 6.0L Racing Dynamics V12. But that will be saved for the next 8 that I pick up down the road. This car now is a daily driver, reliable, mint showroom condition, fast and, well, fassst! Cheers
  20. Nice ride. Almost went for Z06 a while back. An ESS Vortech V2SQ Supercharger is in the works! And yes, driving fast is, uhhh, like watches to me--never enough. So far, approx. 160-165. Does 50-140 in a blink of an eye.
