Hey Estaban, please post pics of some modified Ingy straps. Great idea, by the way. I'm surprised IWC doesn't offer more straps for their weirdo 'integrated' watches.
Mineral Spirit is essentially a paint remover/solvent. Toxic stuff.
Cooking oil does mean vegetable oil.
I recommend that you keep your Cape Cod in a Ziplock bag as well as the foil bag that comes with the cloths. So, put one inside of the other. I've got a cloth that I've had around for a couple of years, it's still moist.

Offshore, you are a good man for taking the time to restore such historically-significant pieces.
The No-Date Date-Just is worth every penny.
A true classic

I guess it's all ok as long as the fella you're shoutin' at knows you are talking about Rolex reference numbers. If you find yourself mentioning reference numbers to random folks out on the street, maybe it's time to check yourself into a psychiatric clinic.
I wore this one this afternoon. It was a gift. And I am proud to wear it. It keeps good time. I've had it for a few years. Are they in on the gag? I think they aren't.
The only time I got called out was by a hoodrat at a bar who asked me the time - but it was over a different watch. She glanced at the time on my genuine 1675 and then she exclaimed: "that sh*t is fake, there ain't no Rolex with plastic glass".
This afternoon...
I had to. I drove my buddy to the airport. And, well, he gave this watch to me a few years ago.
:whistling: That's what friends are for :whistling:
Yeah, go to a booth.
The online method is a scam. They ALWAYS want you to call them, no matter how many times you've sent money to the same damn person. It's their protocol anyhow. I should know, I asked them during an argument over the phone.
Great points. Sometimes I forget how fragile and delicate life is.
The scary part for us Los Angelinos is that , once again, it is the driest season on record here in Los Angeles. It has rained only twice in a whole year! This summer is gonna be a blazing (pun intended).
Arrrgh, you're killing us by not posting pics 'til this weekend. Especially for a dude like me since I am on the verge of pulling the trigger on an Ingenieur.
That's a great way to put it: "does not look too bright".
I like some of the Breitlings, but in general, the newer watches look too blingy compared to the olden days of Breitling for my tastes. I prefer vintage all the way. Give me a ref.806 Navitimer or an early 60s AVI any day over any of the new Brieitlings. I prefer tool watches as opposed to watches made to match one's Bentley GT.
