Just finished my Mark XV. It has gen dial and hands, movement is the Seagull copy of the 2824-2 (ST28 I believe). The case was the hardest part. Still looking for the more correct 39mm case with no UTC on the case back. For now it is in the 40mm UTC case.

To late, that is mine allready. But if you look for an acceptable 24 there s only one choise at the moment and that is DSN. There is ofcoarse one other good submersible from both the N and the H factories and that is the 243L.

I'm done now. Can't make the 12, 6 and 9 indexes any better than this.

LOL, me too. But it was fun working on it. I learned a lot doing it. And to be honest, I like the color sceme, nice contrast between colors.

Finished, well for the time being. Had to relume the 12, 6 and 9 indexes 4 times and still it is no good. Will try again at a later time point. Here is my summer special Abyss What do you think of it?

Lovely piece you have got there. Agree on the shiny lume, this could do with some matt varnisch to take of the shine.

LOL, to late. Just started a special edition Abyss with yellow dial, black indexes, black hands and blue lume. Of coarse I will post pics when ready. Now I also need new hands LOL. Comon guys, who has dial and hands laying arround?

Does anyone knows where to get a new Abyss dial in black or yellow? Can be gen or rep. I need one badly after I messed mine up while I was reluming it! Thanks for any input.

I think the 12, 6, seconds cross and the lume pip are just to green. What do you think, who had it compared to the gen? Will there be a fix for this? If so who can relume it in the EU (I know Vac can but I don't know where he operates from). Since Uwe is out of busniss att, Wiz is not able and Domi well........ Is Domi there is not much to choose from. But maybe you know a good relumer not yet mentioned here? Here is a rep ( picture shameless borrowd from OP Del at RWI) Here is the gen It bothers me that the gen has almost the same uncharged color on all the lume and the rep has this (in real live even worse) fruoressent green color on the 12, 6 etc...

To be honest, he should re-do the hands since they have a complete other color ( uncharged) than the rest of the lume. For the rest it seems a good deal.

If I may believe the seller it has gen dial and hands and a gen ETA 2824-2. He lied about the movement, I think it is the Seagull clone of the 2824-2 (not that bad). Not sure about the dial and hands. Dial looks ok, I have a gen T dial to compaire. Don't know about the hands though. Maybe an expert can gime in. I will use this to make a real XV once I have managed to source a case for it.

Hi Mackey, Just a little sanding on the top of the end links did the trick. An Iron file, some sanding paper and a scotch pad is all you need for the mod.

Josh sold me just the bracelet for 75 USD.

Not without a little modding. It is a tiny bit to thick on the very end of the lugs. Nothing a litle sanding would take of. Here are some pics: From a distance on the wrist. I will start modding it tomorrow and will show the result here.

I'm working on that. Ordered a XV bracelet, the one with the 20mm lug width to see if we can get it fit.
