Day off here today for ANZAC day, off for a bike ride and wearing this...

On mine the He valve screws onto the post in the first pic and I needed to use a screw driver to tighten it from the inside, then the spring pushes it out from the watch case. From there the He valve screws onto the He tube but mine has no gaskets so I do not tend to swim with it.

Dunno? I did buy it when they first came out so maybe now the have rectified the problem?

No mine came with no gaskets on the He valve, I tried to fit some rollies crown tube gaskets I had but they didnt fit.

Here is some pics of mine I had taken when I first received it and to try and show what Usil is saying.

As you can see basically the He valve is screwed onto a screw which has a spring on the outside end (between valve and case) which when the valve is screwed out, the spring pushes the He valve out away from the case.

As you can see there is no gaskets.

The 42mm PO pearls are pretty average compared to the gen or even the 45mm version for that matter.

Probably the pumpkin PO for most of the weekend...

All the 42mm POs have a short minute hand and the orange tip on the sec hand on mine was wrong shade.

Unfortunately I am a fair way north so I cant point you in the direction of someone in SA and while I enjoy servicing/modding my watches I dont work on other peoples pieces.

Have you tried a local independent watch maker? I found a guy near me who had no problem with reps and even had his father(retired watchmaker) make a left handed spring for my speedy!

If Marrickvilleboy had not moved to the US of A he could have probably helped you out? perhaps he will be home soon?

Its a gator strap I had made by HKTan, it actually spends most of the time on the fiddy.

The blue Oris is a great watch, considered the Tissot but the Oris did it for me.

Bought it on bracelet but also got the strap to add some variety.
