  1. Hi guys, tried to upgrade membership, but it won't work ATM. I need fast to get sold this as a complete project with only missing two parts: 1570 movement and bezel assambly! The package contains a lot of gen parts, and will ONLY be sold COMPLETE!!! Case number and paperwork-number is matching, BTW!!! SPECS: - gen 93150 bracelet in best condition - gen endlinks - gen service dial, never has been installed (brand new, only dust on the pictures) - gen 1570 service hands (bought as gen on the bay, no guarantee for this!) - gen T127 (sealed) - gen service inlay (sealed) - gen 703 vintage crown (used but 1a condition) - gen springbars - gen Rolex papers (Germany CC100), modified/converted to 1680 - gen silver datewheel (not included on pics and only OPTIONALLY available, would keep it if possible) To the case: Bought it originally from DW, but I modified it on the lathe to gen specs, thinned the case, drilled the lugholes, shaped the bevels on lugs and polish/brush everything again to highshine. Bevel around caseback also made! Absolutely gen specs now. Only negative - the engravings are not the best... BEZEL and CRYSTAL on one of the pics is only for example and not included in the sale! You can make me offers via PM (no trades, only cash and only bank wire). But please keep in mind, that we are talking here about a investment over 2000€! So no offers lower as that, please! TO THE MOD: If my VIP works again, move this topic in the sales section. Thanks and sorry for posting it here... EDIT: Forgot to mention, the tube is not in best condition. But the crown fits like butter and it's absolutely water resistant! Gesendet von meinem iPad mit Tapatalk HD
  2. Just landed...a gen Superocean:
  3. Today my gen Breitling Navi Olympus...
  4. 1. You forget to mention the inlay, it's clipped in now - not glued. 2. The bezel turns now in both directions, with same rough feeling like the gen. 3 . Bevels are shaped on lugs. BTW, I own a 16700 GMT and the case and CG work is done side by side close as possible. Only some parts has to be changed (I told you that in my E-Mail, Bert) and you have a hell of a watch.
  5. Hi folks! Could not get best friends - me and the gold. So I've sold the 16523 and bought for some additional cash a 116520. I think I am pleased for now.
  6. Exactly, between the plates is a small gap. You can see the part with the small bolt which is out of the seat. Just push it and it will clip in. Problem should be fixed. Biggest mistake is always to panic and try to fix the stem with force, if there get one of the parts bent you loose the game. Even if you get everything in place, you have keyless positions. And it's Impossible to spot the bent part, you have to change most of them to get it working 100%.
  7. There is in most cases another solution for this problem, without to take the hands and dial off: You can see in the turtorial the part mentioned with "this thing". It can be pushed from outside (there is a gap!) with the screwdriver back is the seat! Few years ago when the UPO comes on the market this happened first time to me (I pulled always the stem in winding position out), and I went to a old local watchmaker. He show me how I can do it by myself...and it works every time. And don't forget - like FxrAndy mentioned in his post - take the stem always in time set position out!
  8. Thanks Rafi717. And tomorrow we will take a look inside...
  9. Thanks guys! Like promised here some better shots:
  10. The dial was not my favorite choice, but it's hard to find a Zenith Daytona in almost NOS condition (for a realistic price!). It's like buying a preowned car - there is always missing something... A black dial is IMO the best choice for a SS/G Daytona.
  11. The 1655 clark plexy has not even nearly the magnification like gen! On 1680 crystals the mag is good, but unfortunately a bit too far to the right...
  12. Hi guys! No, this time it's not a "gen or rep" game! I always was following the threads with the Franken Daytonas. Never felt the necessity to build or own one, but in last time the desire was very high. It's one of the most faked Rolex, so a grin from someone who's starring at it, was enough to see him thinking "haha, this guy is wearing a fake Rolex"! He not even had to mention it, and the situation is painful... But now I think I am ready for it - because of my age, some grey hair, family, kids... To build one was IMO not worth the money. And I would never be happy with it, knowing the Zenith movement has 36.000bph instead of 28.800bph (what is the only option to use without blowing too much money in the project). Also there is no perfect case to found out there. So I decided to buy a gen - and today I found a nice one, in a really good and unpolished condition with a new-like sharp bezel. Here only two iPhone pics, but in next days I will post some more "professional" photos - promised...thanks for reading/looking!
  13. Looks good, T. Only try to keep the correct measures of the seat, it would be great to use it on gen inserts. Because there are often cheap inserts to find without or with cracked pearl...good luck with the project!
  14. It's a diamond tester. And saphire has a hardness like a diamond...try google/wikipedia.
  15. And what to do with all the gen parts if we don't need them in future?
  16. Yes, it's a TC. Case is rehaped and brushed/polished to gen specs. Very interesting on this project is, ONLY the inlay is gen! Everything else don't needs IMO to be replaced. A rep has not to be closer than this one...
  17. Hi! What do you think guys, what version is this (WM9, Sean, TC etc.) - or is it gen?
  18. I found a watchmaker who has some NOS 1570 tritium hands for the Submariner models. But he needs the measures from the hour wheel, cannon pinion and seconds hand to sort them (there are also hands for 3035 and 3135). Maybe someone of you has a exploded diagram on the hard disc. Thanks in advance!
