from the pics, looks like the rehaut engraving is not aligned properly, can you post a pic with the dial shot head on? overall the watch is a good rep of the 116234 just tell your dealer to get the one with an aligned rehaut. datejusts were the 1st reps to have this perfected, even in low budget models.

i'm planning on doing a franken also, i'm still at the collecting the parts phase.
the datejust i posted above has all rep parts in it

Nice piece.. just do a dial seap if you thibk the serif on oyster perpetual bugs you. I have 2 similar watches one is this tapestry dial datejust with eta movement
-
that's a 6422 oyster, the non-date version of the 6694. most likely it has a 1220,

choose either swiss eta or the cloned eta for time will come it will need a service it's a bit easier on your watchsmith to replace parts if needed
-
looks good to me, agree to the post above that the crystal of the DSSD is way too thick and curvy that's why it appears that way.
is your piece coming from perfectclones/josh?

nice review.. i might take the plunge also for this one.. going to use this for my 16234 build

nice build, eventhough it's a fantasy model of a 16014. if for a 16234 then it would be very correct.
-
If the Yuki movement is the same as the A3135, then yes...it will fit gen and gen-spec date wheels
hmmm.. interesting. maybe maybe for my next build i'll utilize this movement. i saw a seller at amazon that deals with replacment datewheeles for a 3135 movement.
-
will the gen / aftermarket gen-spec date disc fit this movement?
-
hideously looking piece of crap

Is this a different SLSD from Trusty/Josh?
same

try to contact the TDs here they might be able to help you.
i did my 16234 datejust build from parts from my watchbox. all-rep, used an ETA2879 from a Rado Voyager and it's good to go.
the dial is a c.2000 datejust dial black with stick markers, the chapter ring is the symetric track.

thanks sneed, i'd think about that. i ahve no tools yet to extract the tube and i might screw the thing and ended up with no watch... hehehe btw, what tool do you use for extracting the tube? on 2nd thoughts, i can live with the donor crown for the time being.
-
i have some questions for i am also in this path, i currently have a noob (V serials) subc black, i just acquired a similar case (F serials) to what is posted in your original build review, my question is that will the crown of the noob subc work with the existing tube of the donor case?
thanks!

canal st. junk...

could be a franken.
the dial is from a 16234 planted into a 116234 case, daterfont is for older rolex being an open 6.
case is good enough, especially the rehaut engraving. as i said dial is from an older model, as well as the matching datewheel for the movement.
my theory is gen case for 116234 and movement + dial from a 16234 or earlier rolex

excellent build! nicely done. i too have an ongoing lady dj project (white dial, smooth bezel, oyster band)

the bezel insert is standard among the Noob SubC line, be it the PVD or the regular steel versions. they are not plastic but ceramic. as for the date overlay problem, it may be the overlay is not properly set, any watchrepair guy with experience in ETA can do that. even if the datewheel is misaligned it can be remedied. what can we expect it's a rep, i have lived by the flaws of my subc but its still my daily wear because i simply liked the design. if ever the more correct subc hit the market, i'll surely get one
cyclops is not misaligned its the overlay or the datewheel itself, an easy fix.
I purchased my first Rolex Rep and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. I got the ProHunter Blk Ceramic Bezel Submariner on the bracelet from Josh. This was my first Rolex and I absolutely love the quality and finish of the other reps I bought but this thing has problems.
Questions:
1. Can you take the bezel off this thing? The black ceramic insert on the PVD looks terrible and basically plastic and I want to swap it for something with a little color. This is a FNoob Factory Product and Josh's website says the bezel has the same rotating mechanism as the original. I know on some reps you can't remove the bezel but does anyone know where this rep falls? Any pointers on how to get it off? I already watched a few YouTube videos but I can assure you this thing is on there seriously and wedging something in there doesn't work. I already dented the case trying to pry it off.
2. Will this take a gen crystal? The lack of AR on the cyclops is awful and I also think the cyclops is misaligned over the date window. It would be easier to read the date with no cyclops. I know "Big Crown" has made some double AR coated replacement crystals and it is a must for me if it will fit.
3. What's the best way to fix the misalligned date problem? The dates 1-14 are ok but get progressively worse going up to about 27. I know there is an overlay that people use. Is it that simple? Does anyone have a link where I can get an overlay?
All in all my first Rolex rep and my first disappointing rep. I now appreciate why people go to TC and BK for Rollies. If this is the only alternative than no one would get Rolex reps. at all.
I wouldn't recommend this rep to anyone but in fairness I will say the lume is amazing and the 2836 really makes the second hand sweep nicely. Other than that I struggle to find anything....the bracelet is certainly never going to be used.
Thanks in advance guys.

my current state of drawer.. hehehe

i say, go for it. very minimal detail to be worried about. i assume you're getting the one with the ETA movement. solid piece, great as a beater watch.
plus josh/perfectclones is an excellent dealer in my book. having got most of my reps from him, good communicator and really delivers.
-
i have the same watch from josh/perfectclones. the only thing that is off with the watch as far as i'm concerned is the pearl other than that i can bear with the tiny details/discrepancies.
wear it i good health..

i have the same watch, got it from my local dealer (Philippines). this is the same watch being sold by josh/perfect clones and puretime/angus. got it for around $300 slightly higher than prices online but the hassle of customs tax, etc. in my country is a pain.
i'm using that watch now for about a week now, my sub-c is taking a rest. hehehe

most probably josh/perfect clones.
I'm contemplating to get one HW daytona exactly like that to complement my 116520
Rolex Datejust I
in The Rolex Area

for the best DJ1 just build it yourself or have someone do it for you. it can be a combination of 3 reps (getting the best parts from each) to get 1 desirable watch.
the one in the imgur link is pretty decent enough. just get the ETA version for servicability, etc. also don't forget to subject the bracelet into an oil bath to further enhance the feel when wearing it.
