  1. I want to poke my eyes out with an ice pick
  2. Knowing Luthier is like getting Herpes. So consider yourself lucky.
  3. It's damn shame that people feel a need to mess with others livelyhood. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I knew I was taking food of the table of another person's family for nefarious reasons.
  4. Surprised ? No. There's a huge thread I posted some time ago on RWI where he screwed a guy on a guitar forum. I'll have to find it. George is a [censored] and I would gladly remind him of that. Maybe he has been running low on cash with all that shoe polish he puts on his head.
  5. Looks fantastic. I need one of these for sure.
  6. Still not bad. Every AP I buy is a cool $1k by the time it gets to my wrist. I think you would really enjoy it and it's good out of the box.
  7. That's a whole different debate I guess. Considering the previous versions , I would call this decent. As long as you stay with a black datewheel model.
  8. It's only $350 bucks or so. Not a bad price for a decent rep with a 7750.
  9. I've inquired about this and you can DLC a full watch for $3-400 . So with the price of the watch , figure a $1000 investment.
  10. 388 seems a bit high but honestly, that's going to be the going rate for decent reps now.
  11. I've owned 2 Bentley and one Navitimer. All three had sub par lume. My cousin has an Emergency, two Avengers and a Colt. Good lume to me is what you see on Panerai's and Omega. Breitling is notorious for subpar lume . Look at all the Franken Breitlings.
  12. The flaws are minor on the 7750. Great watch.
  13. AP is worth every penny. I've ordered custom straps from them in the desired stitching colors. I've had pretty much every aftermarket strap. Most of these folks do not use inserts on the ends and the fitment isn't OEM. You get what you pay for. Even AP bands who makes a very nice hornback cannot touch the quality of OEM.
  14. That date is the only flaw that bothers me. If you really want one , get it with a black datewheel. It won't be as obvious. Don't worry about the lume much because GEN Breitlings have terrible lume.
  15. Seriously. I've seen some low end quartz models that look 100 times better . That Safari is a $5 watch. It's not remotely close to resembling a Safari. Look at the strap already tearing at the lugs. How does he wear that ?
  16. If you put a gun to my head , I guess I would take the last one. By no means accurate but it doesn't make me want to throw up as much as the first two.
  17. Uh , decline all of them. That Safari may be the worst AP rep I've ever seen.
  18. First you need to uundestand that a working power reserve and proper subdial spacing is dictated by the movement. You can't have both without a GEN 5111 movement. I have a 5002 Franken which will be similar to a 5004. You can purchase a dial , datewheel and crown/tube in OEM. Make sure to have plenty of money handy. You will also need custom labor to have everything fit.
  19. I asked about Diver straps and none of them seem to work with the buckle.
