  1. I'm doing it for 18 months now, it's super-cardio if you want it to be. Very versatile, and i'm not visiting gym anymore. Gym is boring. KB has rediculous number of exercises you can do, both cardio and strength. If you combine it with other core excersises using your own weight, it's really showing results quickly. Plus, I'm not staying there longer than 45 mins, otherwise I'd die. Very intensive if you do it by the book. Hope it helps,

  2. I think if you just opened the springs, that would probably happen. Reshaping the teeth is the main part of the mod. If the springs do collapse, maybe springs from a ball point pen would work?

While reshaping makes sense in terms of better overall grip, problem of weak springs remains. I'd love to see how original works and what they did to stop clasp arms from depressing the button. You think it's the spring resistance only? I don't...

  3. Just crossed my mind...i read that Ocean7 did a custom run of single AR coated sapphire crystals for the original Ploprof 600. Quite a task as ole Plo crystal has a very curious crystal shape due to the monoblock case. Maybe we can ask them, provided there is enough interest...

  4. I'd say the quality is pretty good. It's a little more complicated than a normal crown but it works well and screws down pretty smooth if you're careful. It doesn't feel like it wants to cross the threads but the extra crown guard piece makes it a little harder to operate.

I don't own any other Omega reps to compare it to.

How about those guides for the lump of steel on the crown. I hope it not like all of this is hanging on the poor stem while you wind or set the watch? I mean, people were breaking stems with far less weight on it. Are the tolerances tight so it really stabilizes the crown when pulled out?

  5. All the DSSDs up to the current models have this problem.

I do not know if the cartel "ultimate" units have a proper valve. Don't believe stuff you read on the Internet ;)

Latest cartel version does have a correct orientation of the valve. It's also very similar to the original in terms of construction, biggest difference being o-ring placement and related water(non)resistance. However, properly greased and seated should provide more than enough water resistance for normal use. I have no means to test actual figures, but it will hold up far better than reversed solution prefered by so many of the rep makers. Attached is the cross section image of the original DSSD hev.

  6. Looks like the latest cartel version is the only one with a correct HEV orientation. Not that it's completely waterproof for that reason. I had mine fail the other day...taken apart, greased and properly tightened with a dab of loctite, ticks away happily :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  7. Otherwise, trim/bend DW's endlinks or buy genuine.

Yeah, problem is not bending or trimming but the fact that those "oyster" marks on end links are barely visible, they look like flat plain brushed links. Can't think of a way to recreate those. I would need a super thin saw or something...

  8. Has anyone found a reasonable replacement for the DW bracelet and endlinks? Or endlinks only in the worst case? I love the watch, but endlinks are a joke. Bad one at that. Anything on e-gay worth purchasing? Will Yuki have a 19mm version of his bracelets? Or something? :nea:

    Thanks,
