  1. With all these watermarks from Josh you can't see a whole lot, but digital display fonts look to be completely off. I don't know about functions though
  2. I'm doing it for 18 months now, it's super-cardio if you want it to be. Very versatile, and i'm not visiting gym anymore. Gym is boring. KB has rediculous number of exercises you can do, both cardio and strength. If you combine it with other core excersises using your own weight, it's really showing results quickly. Plus, I'm not staying there longer than 45 mins, otherwise I'd die. Very intensive if you do it by the book. Hope it helps, Dean
  3. Well done Marty! Just one small concern...what are they made of? Sweat and possibly saltwater could make them rust badly... Dean
  4. While reshaping makes sense in terms of better overall grip, problem of weak springs remains. I'd love to see how original works and what they did to stop clasp arms from depressing the button. You think it's the spring resistance only? I don't... Dean
  5. Nahh, they will sag in a day or two, depending on wearing habits...material too soft, i'm trying to find a good replacement for 'em Dean
  6. I managed to open it and tighten the two springs, however it's only slightly better. Seeing how it works, I could imagine that installing VERY stiff springs might do the trick but the problem lies in the way it's replicated. Dean
  7. I had no problems fitting a 28.9 with a press, so I guess we should keep that size. And yes, I'm still in. Let's do it already
  8. Just received two replacement sandwich xtals from Mary. Excellent service on her part but both are delaminated out of the box. What a piece of crap. Lets pull this project off. Dean
  9. Pfff...mine just arrived. From Mary. Delaminated out of the box. Sfa? Taka? Any news on the replacement xtal? Dean
  10. That's what i'm thinking about while it's on the way to arrive... ;(
  11. Found a link... http://www.ploprof.com/Site/Pimp%20your%20PP.html I'm sure the cost is kind of prohibitive though...
  12. Just crossed my mind...i read that Ocean7 did a custom run of single AR coated sapphire crystals for the original Ploprof 600. Quite a task as ole Plo crystal has a very curious crystal shape due to the monoblock case. Maybe we can ask them, provided there is enough interest... Dean
  13. Anyone else got it submerged?
  14. If possible, try to remove the bezel insert as it might give you some clue what's underneath or how the bezel is held in place. Dean
  15. Anyone that received the plo tried to disassemble the button? Is it like shallow mounted only? Or does it have a deep hole drilled beneath it? Just thinking... Dean
  16. Well worth the wait...sanding the ring down was a (b)itch to do, but here we are. Crown and CG to do, but had no patience left. Thank you again, Sir. Dean
  17. That's what it looks like, but only if the original tolerances were kept...were they? Dean
  18. How about those guides for the lump of steel on the crown. I hope it not like all of this is hanging on the poor stem while you wind or set the watch? I mean, people were breaking stems with far less weight on it. Are the tolerances tight so it really stabilizes the crown when pulled out? Dean
  19. Latest cartel version does have a correct orientation of the valve. It's also very similar to the original in terms of construction, biggest difference being o-ring placement and related water(non)resistance. However, properly greased and seated should provide more than enough water resistance for normal use. I have no means to test actual figures, but it will hold up far better than reversed solution prefered by so many of the rep makers. Attached is the cross section image of the original DSSD hev. Dean
  20. Looks like the latest cartel version is the only one with a correct HEV orientation. Not that it's completely waterproof for that reason. I had mine fail the other day...taken apart, greased and properly tightened with a dab of loctite, ticks away happily
  21. Yeah, problem is not bending or trimming but the fact that those "oyster" marks on end links are barely visible, they look like flat plain brushed links. Can't think of a way to recreate those. I would need a super thin saw or something... Dean
  22. Has anyone found a reasonable replacement for the DW bracelet and endlinks? Or endlinks only in the worst case? I love the watch, but endlinks are a joke. Bad one at that. Anything on e-gay worth purchasing? Will Yuki have a 19mm version of his bracelets? Or something? Thanks, Dean
  23. It's the old style (702) and apparently it needs to be reamed after installation. So my crown is OK after all. Thank you all for PM's. Dean
