  1. Pelican Cases are great! i got a small one but it really depends on how many watches " they have bigger sizes" you want to put in there & the best thing its indestructible! price wise is very reasonable. :D

LOL :thumbsupsmileyanim: Im not carrying around a atomic bomb

  2. Having been through a number of expensive boxes I ultimately decided on the lower cost 8 watch boxes from the dealers. The watches lay flat. If you are keeping a large number of watches you can have multiple boxes in the same storage space as one large box and your watches lay flat. So you are better preserving those expensive straps since they are not permanently buckled in around a ring. For me it also allows me to keep my watches ordered by brand and to carry up to 8 watches at a time when going on a long trip or a GTG. Here is the link from Andrew's site but all the cartel dealers carry them.

So you are better preserving those expensive straps since they are not permanently buckled in around a ring. Is this issue? Do they last longer laying flat?

  3. You can find any number of articles here but the headline is that the gen and some earlier re versions actually load the movement, dial and hands from the top (i.e. remove the bezel, crystal and "drop it in" rather than the usual unscrew the case back and bolt in from the bottom. So I am with PrDubis. Either buy a specific earlier version or wait for the ultimate which is supposed to be coming out later this year.

Thanks for the advise guys :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. Where do you live tessa? There is a guy who does great ones in the UK, he sells on Ebay too.

Do a search on Ebay for watch cases/boxes/storage, and it will come up with something where you live I would guess!

    Sixx :bones:

    Norway i will do a search :)

  5. All great watches but the no-chrono version is the most accurate. On the chrono models the gen uses an ETA 2892 movement I believe. The rep uses a modified A7750. Even though they have reworked the subdial spacing, the positioning of the pushers is incorrect, symmetrical on the rep and asymmetrical on the gen. Also the datewheel is recessed on the rep. On the non chrono model the only glaring flaws are the pearl sitting too low in the triangle (exists on the chrono as well) and the lack of a decent blue AR coating, although I believe Omega has changed to a clear colored AR recently if I am not mistaken. Both are nice but the non chrono is far more accurate. That said, go with the one you like, as you are not likely to ever run in to someone with enough knowledge to be able to point out any of these flaws.

    thanks :thumbsupsmileyanim:
