  1. I want one! I mean, one of each (light box and the Montblanc!) Nice job. John
  2. I took my new perfect sub from Brandon in to the jeweler today to have a link removed. She immediately commented (glad no one else was in the store) that sometimes the screws break on these "immitation Rolexes." When asked what she waw that indicated that it was an imitation, she replied "weight." Has anyone weighed their perfect sub and compared it to gen? This was a large, rotund woman, so maybe her estimate of weight is skewed. john
  3. I feel like such an idiot. But there are always newbies, and everyone has to go through that stage before we reach horilogical nirvana. Anyway. What do we need to do to avoid raising red flags? What should be avoided in emails? Is that why so many people on our forum use abbreviations that I am not familiar with? To avoid being busted? I can certainly understand not putting the word "replica" on a paypal payment, but what other precautions do we need to take on this board when we inquire about a product and use other email communications? Hey! I saw you rolling your eyes at me, young man!
  4. Hi all...John, and I admit I'm a newbie. When I took large pay cuts at my employer, I sold my original Datejust, Old Navitimer, Speedmaster Pro, Seamaster pro, Montblanc, and Deniel jean Richard TV watch. Just an introduction. I ordered a moonwatch from Sashwatch not too long ago, and got good service from him, although I did have some problems with the movement, and Brandon was happy to work with me. Satisfactory ending. Question: Some of the pics of theRep Navitimer slide rules look like the numbers are misaligned. That is, on the outer dial of the sliderule, by around 25 to 40 or 50, they are not lined up. Is this paralax error from the angle of the photo? This would make the slide rule innacurate or useless. I'm very attracted to the Breitlings, but I would like to know if any members have had any problems with the slide rules, and would appreciate any feedback!! This is a great forum, and I've learned a lot already. Still fumbling through a lot of the abbreviations people use, though. Maybe the forum could use a lexicon/dictionary of abbreviations. Thanks!
