Well I think it's a great piece. And looks great with a suit. It seems every time a watch gets great reviews, it becomes extinct shortly after. This is the only Ebel I would even consider getting. Guess I'll have to look into getting a used one
In a never ending chain of highly reviewed watches the simply go extinct, the Ebel Disvoery Panda has been MIA for ONE YEAR. Whats the deal? Did the factory close? Who runs out of stock for an entire year? If anybody has the inside scoop on where I can find this dinosaur please PM me. I've already tried half of our trusted dealers! Thanks gents
I'm not certain of that Dave. All the SA reviews on the forum seem to be of the noobfactory v2. Nobody knows anything about the h factory version except the dealers. Never a good sign
rek001 might be right, the "h factory" dial looks as if the hour numbers are not stenciled. They look flat or at least flatter than the usual v2 SA's we see around the forum. I may hold out until the noobfactory v2's are back in stock. If anybody else can confirm or deny this, or vouch for the quality of the "h factory" SA's please comment.
Go for it chief! I love the white stencil dials. And thanks for the tip Dave. You guys have been very helpful. I think I have I have my first franken project lined up for me.
No but thanks. I'm looking for the same dial above. Gen white numbered dial, big wings would be nice. There are a few on ebay but I'm not going to pay $250, not to mention some of them look fake. Does anybody know any other sources for gen dials?
The factory does not have its own website. The warehouse supplies the dealers.
Are the markers on the standard v2 that we all know so well (noobfactory) stenciled? I can't tell!
I wanted the v2 because of the 1:1 case and better AR. The consensus seems to be that the v2 will fit a gen dial and the v3 will not. Not to mention the crystal and bezel assembly is worse on the v3. The crystal is thinner and mounted in conjunction with the bezel. Yuck
Apparetly the v2 from the noobfactory is sold out, so all the dealer had to use as an example was a noobfactory v3. The one on the right is the "h factory," although the jury is still out on whether or not the h factory version is considered v2 or not.
The reply I received from the dealer on the difference between a noobfactory and h factory SA is "dial is different, case is different." Not much help. Its getting more and more difficult to make an informed purchase
Hey gents, the dealers are driving me crazy right now with trying to find a white dial Super Avenger. One minute they tell me the watch is from the noobfactory, and the next minute they tell me its not the noobfactory, its "h factory." Whats the difference? I thought the noobfactory was the only factory making the best v2 reps??
Wow you guys are thorough. I'm obtaining more pictures shortly, but the numbers are definitely silver not black. Its difficult to get good angle and lighting apparently. As for the black speck, I hope thats just dust!
I dont have very good vision so I wont be able to spot any small incorrect details, but I would like a second opinion before pulling the trigger. Thanks gents
