Looks great on your wrist
Enjoy it!
Congrats...good choice for a start.
Theo
thank you
You have fine taste in timepieces my friend!
I've got a half dozen AP's. Love them, but the seconds at 12 movement is KILLING me - so unstable. I'm gonna go on an AP ROO break for the time being.
Now the Seadweller - it's been calling my name after reading Lani's fantastic review about 10 times - I'm gonna have to put one on my wrist soon!
would you happen to know if the seconds @ 9 movement is any better? the reason i ask is because there are a couple of sec@9 AP ROO's that i have my eye on that never got repped as a sec@12
3 weeks on customs?
Eternity?
3 weeks in customs definitely felt like an eternity. i found myself checking the usps and ems websites daily.
-
it toook soooooooooooooooooo long for this watch to arrive. it sat in customs for about 3 weeks. now that it's here i cant take it off my wrist. here are my pix. i cant wait to order the Don Ramon :-)
-
Nice!! I'm looking into getting one in the rubber strap. Any problems with the watch or movement?
Usually how long did it take from ordering to arriving?
Cheers!
no problem with the watch itself. it did arrive with one of the case screws missing. im not even upset because its such a minor mistake. im going to order the case screws from APBands.
i ordered the watch, received confirmation the next day. received qc pics the following day. then the day after that i received the tracking number. the watch made it from the dealer to customs within 3 days. then sat in customs for 3 weeks. from customs to my doorstep took 1 week. overall i would say the actual delivery time (minus the time sitting in customs) was about 2 weeks. my other watches i've ordered left customs within 24 - 48hrs so they arrived within 2 weeks (from the date of placing the order to the day it arrived at my doorstep)
-
wow u are great!!!! thank u
-
just got my AP ROO (after one month of waiting) but one of the four screws that hold the bracelet to the case is missing :-(
where can i order one of these? or should i contact the dealer?
-
Maybe a silly remark but....how to you slip through the bracelet....watchcase pointing inside your hand or outside???
This makes a big difference....have a try.
Theo
i normally do it with the watch case pointing outside my hands. i tried it the opposite way and the watch slipped on soooooooooo easy. i removed another link and was actually able to wear the watch by putting it on the way you suggested. i luv u. if u were here with me i'd kiss u right now!!! :bangin:
-
so after a month of waiting for my 1st AP ROO to arrive, its finally here. I removed 4 links from the bracelet. I can barely squeeze my hand through the opening with the clasp fully opened. But when i close the clasp after the ROO is on my wrist, it is still about 1 link too long. The watch dangles on my wrist and falls all over the place. I tried removing one more link. i couldn't even squeeze my hand through the bracelet no matter how hard i tried. I left it for now with only 4 links removed but it is uncomfortable to wear because the watch is not sitting properly on my wrist.
Any suggestions? i know the most obvious answer is probably get a leather or rubber strap but i want the Stainless bracelet.

i dont even like the AP Diver and now you're making me think otherwise! those straps are great!!!! it seems like i can feel the texture just looking at your pictures. can you please post up some pictures of the Diver on those other straps tooo?!?!

Nice pieces and nice pics. Definitely got a theme going there. Stay thirsty my friend
i always keep some vodka around.
Too bad it all about the.....
gooose has always been my vodka of choice. i never liked the taste of stoli, kettle one, belvi etc
Hit your local Target store and pick up a fat package of orange microfiber towels in the Automotive section for $8 .. you will be amazed how thoroughly they clean a watch in just a couple swipes.
i've been meeaning to get some. i did have some and i "misplaced" them smh. i guess its time to bite the bullet and buy some more huh
-
well my AP ROO black themes is stuck in china somewhere for the last 3 weeks. so while i'm awaiting its arrival, i figured i'd play around with the current two watches i have in my collection. let me know if you want to see any specific pictures/angles. i always have time to take pixxx. enjoy!

Just because you have a tracking # doesn't necessarily mean its been dispatched.
Ask for the day it was SHIPPED, not when a form with a number was filled in..that could still be laying on someones desk, or in their OUT box!
O/S
so you think it may have not even been shipped?
-
its been stuck in the sort facility for 15 days
-
I ordered the AP ROO Black Themes on Thursday 6/16/2011. The very next day Fri 6/17/2011 my payment was confirmed. On Saturday 6/18/2011 I received the QC Pics. On Monday 6/20/2011 I received the tracking number. Heres USPS/EMS tracking status:
Acceptance, June 20, 2011, 9:06 pm, CHINA PEOPLES REP
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Processed Through Sort Facility, June 21, 2011, 11:58 pm, GUANGZHOU, CHINA PEOPLES REP
After that I haven't seen any progress since! Is my watch seized by customs? Is the holiday weekend delaying everything? Am I just paranoid and extremely impatient because I've been waiting anxiously for my 1st AP ROO? Please help!! Any ideas?
-
I don't know why no one answered your question, but 17 days later I will answer by saying, NO, it is not repped!
Sorry.
actually after doing some research: this watch has been repped. its a sec @ 9 though and its being sold by a non "trusted" dealer. so im a little hesitant to order one SMH
-
maybe the seller snuck in a couple reps when he unloaded all those watches
-
i really like this one! i want to get this version and the rose gold version
-
Great piece!! Obviously one my and Jkay's favorites Clean it up a bit with a microfiber cloth and it should be sparkling.. a trick with the bracelet is to spray some WD-40 on it.. (take the watch head off).. get it nice and soaked an you'll be surpirsed at some of the grime that comes off from between the cracks.. let it soak a bit.. then wipe it dry...
Once it's dry, put a little dish soap (a VERY little) directly on the bracelet to get the oil off the surface of the bracelet, rinse it under a slow faucet and it will be sparkling clean and the bracelet will be silky smooth from the lubrication
For some cleaner photos, you could try taking some near a light source.. (windows are great on a sunny day!) and without the flash... Your photos will come out with less glare and more clarity
Congrats on the purchase Rep Master!
im going to clean it up real nice. thanks for the advice. and dont worry many many many more pictures are coming. i'll try and set some up like you said

Wow! Great! The DSSD makes the BREIT look like nothing special
it has amazing wrist presence

dropped by the post office this morning. scooped up my parcel. drove home, broke open the package and i must admit...... i am very impressed! the attention to detail is amazing. when you see the zoomed in photos online and the macro shots you forget just how tiny all these little details on these watches are. well this makes rep number 2 for me. my collection is growing. i also have an AP ROO black themes on the way. also got a PM this morning from one of the dealers saying they have 2 watches i've recently inquired about, back in stock!! i have to say, i love these forums and i love this hobby.
-
need more pixxxx ASAP!!! this is hands down my favorite AP ROO. that is one CLASSY loookin watch
-
So I've been searching the trusted dealers for these 2 watches. But I'm running into two problems. Either it seems like they are sold out. Or the dealer doesn't display a picture of the specific watch I'm looking for. I've emailed a few of the dealers and so far no luck :-( Sold out everywhere. Does anyone know if any of the dealers have these two specific versions of the FM Crazy Hours:
-
my DSSD will be in my hands tomorrow!!! i just checked the tracking info. im excited!
-
By no means a expert, but those lug screws are as tight and gap-less as I have seen on a Ap bezel.
i just got the tracking number this morning!!! im sooo excited for my first AP ROO!! I'm already anxious to order the Don Ramon AP next.
-
Im so0o0 excited. My DSSD should be here within the next couple of days and I just received the QC Pics for the Black Themes I ordered. Two great watches coming back to back. This will be my 1st Audemars Rep. I think this will be my "daily desk diver". If you have any questions let me know. Hope u enjoy!! Well onto the pics......
