  1. No bracelet and it being an "F" series..not lug holes. I will post a few pics shortly. Case with back, crown, crystal, complete bezel assmbly w/insert(the pearl is terrible) and brass mvt. spacer for 2836 mvt.
  2. A high quality Liquid Metal rep should most definately be considered...but it's not likely to be able to be repped acurrately I'd say go for the 5th generation 42mm PO or the 45mm UPO that's currently available. Ofrei or cousins.uk have all the parts needed to go a VERY nice Franken for about 1k plus labor to whoever does the part swapping.
  3. I have one that I acquired in a trade deal a few years ago. Mint condition, never been worn, brass ring for eta 2836 inside. It has no mvt., dial or hands. Would anyone know a fair market price for this ?
  4. Hello guys: I'm new to the Forum and would like to ask for some help from the regular Rollie guys. I have a BK version of the Black NoobFactory Explorer II and would like to have a gen crystal, crown and tube installed. Does anyone know which gen tube is needed to fit the gen. 24-603-0 6mm crown to the Noob case? And does it reqiuire additional modifications to the case ? Can the rep crystal gasket be used with the gen. 25-295-C crystal or will a gen. gasket be required for the install ? Any help and information will be greatly appreciated.
  5. I just had the same problem and here's a "quick fix" that worked for me. I opened the back, pulled the stem and crown and took a good look (10x mag loupe)at the tube threads and inner crown threads. I noticed 1 thread had completely pulled out of the tube. Sort of like a heli-coil does from time to time. I will eventually go with ofrei for a gen tube and crown but in the meantime, not having a spare tube and wanting to wear the watch as I've only had it less than a week...... I went out to the garage, grabbed a roll of teflon tape (pipe thread sealing tape). rolling it up in a "string" about 1/8" in diameter x 1" long. Set the crown on the desk (stem up) and worked the t-tape down into the crown threads with a tiny screwdriver from the watchtool kit. Popped the stem back in, locked the case back down, set the time, pushed it in and that did the trick. The crown screws in until it's tight again. For now anyway. I've been wearing it since and so far, so good. I don't trust it around water though. But hey, it worked for me.
  6. Thanks for all of the useful information. True, going everything genuine but the case and mvt. wouldn't be a sound investment. A genuine piece would.
  7. outduorboy. Yes, that's the watch I was talking about. From Ms. Connie. But I've since decided to go with Lay at ReplicaMake88. It arrived super fast, well packed and it's a very nice replica. Now all I need is to locate a compilation of parts needed from cousins or from ofrei to see which direction is most practical. Go full Franken with it or seek a nice preowned piece. Would the initial cost of the base watch, plus costs for genuine dial, hands, bezel and insert, crystal, crown/tube, HE valve,( or a complete case set) all the necessary gaskets, bracelet w/clasp and sending it off to have those parts installed save me enough over just going with a genuine piece ?
  8. I've tried this before and it worked for me. Just be certain not to slip. There is a risk of doing damage to the hairspring. Tutorial on regulating
  9. Better yet buy a Submariner without the date mag on the crystal and sell me your BK Sub. In looking around those seem to be very good and hard to find.
  10. Well, having re-read the description it says Asian 2892. Would that be any better than the eta 2824-2 being offered in most Ultimate versions ?
  11. I've been looking around at the 42mm PO. Mainly the Ultimate version for it's ability to use genuine parts. There seems to be many dealers that offer this version with the 2824-2 movement but I've seen one claiming come with the eta 2892. Which movement in a 42mm PO would be the better choice as far as overall quality and long term reliability. And to possibly have genuine parts added on down the road ?
  12. Thanks. There really is alot of information to absorb. Could it be that the dealer no longer call that model the 4 or 5 generation. I'm seeing mant being called the Ultimate version but haven't seen any called any number of generation.
  13. 21 views and 0 replies ? Someone has to know or this isn't a very friendly site.
  14. I've just had the pleasure of viewing a beautiful Franken 5th generation 42mm PO. Which dealer carries the base model of this particular Omega ?
  15. Angus: Thank you for the warm welcome The fact that a Trusted Dealer was the first to welcome me aboard says alot about your PR and customer service. I will most certainly be in touch with you soon.
  16. Came into the "safer" sites with one goal in mind. To locate and purchase the Best Rolex Black Explorer II replica available. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? Thanks. Bo
  17. So what's a turn-key all-in price for one of these, using a 2892-A2 mvt??
