    luming

Luming is an art form as well as a skill. I hope to get the skill part down for technical jobs. I just want my watches to be legit, however, the older vintage ones don't need lume, but some other tool watches(like the 7002, and the sterile sub) would be awesome to get in proper suer luminova to last 12+ hrs

I would love to see pictures Paul. I bought some SL an some other things to start practicing with good lume. I want a tool watch that can glow like a torch in the dark. I think a sterile SSD is what I'll end up for a daily beater.
  3. Will do. I also Purchased their vintage sub bezel assembly to try. We shall see how Good it fits
  4. No worries addict. We all do that. I am curious because for a quick modest build, the kit wouldn't be bad, but from their pictures the date windows look small, as in eta display small.
  5. So for those that did purchase the case and parts, what exactly did you purchase from them for the build and how was the overall fit? I think I will build a 16800 using their parts
  6. 6239 on a meeting day
  7. Try ofrei.com I think they have something that will work for the 6238
  8. The color patina of the dial is what makes it for me. Looks great. Now I want one. Dammit!
  9. No, I mean the actual dials. Not the adaptor ring, the actual DIALS. The date window looks small, so I wanted to know if anyone had purchased these dials to see if the date window is indeed an ETA date window.
  10. I bought one. Let's see what it looks like in real life and how it fits. I wonder if that assembly would fit the 16610 case Who does engraving again?
  11. I mean the actual dials. The date windows just seem small(6:9)
  12. no we need the same for the 7734 movement
  13. Engravings would be cool. Specially for a custom serial number. I'm ordering the 5513 bezel assembly and insert to see how they go. Maybe I can finish my Snowflake after all. Holding off on this 16610 case in lieu of the bezel assemly issue. I need to know if the star assembly is correct. E
  14. Well, I was looking at the 3135. Star is correct. The 3035 is 115
  15. Once you log in it's $164 plus shipping. But the bezel assembly needs to be purchased separately. Add another $130, plus bezel insert, etc...
  16. It looks like the case and bezel assembly need to be purchased separately. E
  17. Ordering one right now. Looks like the lug holes are also drilled.
  18. Has anyone purchased one of these? I am curious about the window size. I have been looking at either the 1680 in white or their 1665. ANy comparison pictures will be greatly appreciated. E
  19. This is why it is so hard sometimes to find a matching bracelet that actually fits.
  20. My thing is say, someone like Phong who sells "high" end stuff. Manufacturing the individual parts based on Gen items should not be too hard. if built separately, to gen specs, then its just a matter of fitting/miking and trimming to achieve that perfect/water tight fit. Maybe one factory can be better at main case and case back, while another one can produce a better bezel assembly, etc.. I know this opens up a huge ordeal with correct tolerances, etc... but Just saying E
  21. I was looking at one of those cases for a 16800 build myself(the wife kinda likes one for herself and that's the only excuse I needed)
  22. I was thinking of using a 7750 DW case for this. The 7760 has almost the same height as the 7736 from what I read. would be interesting. Specially if gen dials configuration can be maintained. Right now waiting on DWs 7750 movement and seriously thinking about the mystery movement to check it out. E
  23. Did this ever happen?
  24. I hate to revive this post, but if one uses a 7750 DW case, then a 7736 could potentially fit except for the added width. Has anyone milled the inside of the case and case back to fit the wider 7736 onto a DW case?
  25. It will be really interesting to have an SD with similar configuration, specially to use gen crystals and gaskets.
