I am sorry if I am a NEWB, and I am in the process of buying my first PAM, what is a Palp Crown, and will one fit my soon to be 112H? What is the difference between the one that is coming with the PAM and the one you guys are selling/making?

I think that is a gen rubber, and i dont think they are that expencive either, Euros 50 ish i think, not sure that is with the buckle though.

Any special place I should look for both?

Okay, next question, if I plan on keeping whatever I buy for awhile and wearing it 2-4 days a week should I look for a SWISS or ASIAN movement or does it matter. And where can I find a SWISS PAM?

What mods should I look to do first, LUME and AR? I want to gain some knowledge as well as build a very good REP.

The 111G in Andrew's ad is NOT using a Swiss movement, FYI. AFAIK, the E/F/G series Swiss movements are gone, full stop. Even the Asian E series movements are scarce. I'd check with Andrew about the availability of this watch, he's a bit infamous for not updating his website when things go out of stock...

SO I guess Im going to have to find one used then? Figures, its never an easy task!

I like the same PAM111G Marina Luminor G series swan neck Swiss 6497 but abit confused from who to buy do you have any recomendation? It has to be the Unitas clockwork no asian.

I have ordered from both Josh (perfect clones) and Andrew (trusty time), they are both very good. I am just trying to get some input on which to go with, not WHO to order off of.

Well, the two new 111 watches are Marinas (with second hand) while the 112 is a Luminor (Base w/o seconds hand) so they are different looking watches. I prefer Luminor models, but I have several of each. The 112 sounds pretty moded saving you the work, time, and/or money. Best of luck.

I heard they are going to discontinue the Swiss Unitas G movement, is that true? That is one of my main reasons I was going to buy a 111 with the unitas G movement.

Also, the 112 I have a chance to buy is an Asian movement, I think I prefer a Swiss movement.

I just dont know which to go with. I guess it is going to be personal preference.

Who does good mods on PAMs and are some moding options (other than superlume)

I am looking for a good base to start my FIRST project. I want it to be a PAM111 I think because I saw the newest review on the 111, and searched around for a similar 111 from the vendors. I am just confused on which to go with to start some mods and if this is even a good model to start with.

Here are the two I came u with, I really like the sandwich dial, but I like the G series a little better.

ALso, if I do buy an unmoded PAM, I will need some help finding someone who can mod it and what mods are available for the model I buy.

PS: I have a chance to buy a pre-moded 112 (asian 6497 and sapphire crystal with a single sided blueish AR coating, recesed cannon pin fixed and superlumed by The Zigmeister). Should I just maybe think about that instead of a unmoded 111? This is going to be my first PAM and I want it to be a goodie!!

I ordered my IWC last Wednesday (May 21) and I received it yesterday (May 28) so 7 days for me. In the past it took about the same amount of time (7-10 days)

Yes, I think that is what I am going to go with. I found one in the "For Sale" section I am going to pickup.

Can anyone answer this for me, what is the main difference between the Asian SFSO and the Swiss SFSO, just the movement?

I have a few GENs and REPs I wear with my suite and tie everyday, but I want something for play and after work. Something that will not look bad with a pair of sweat pants, a t-shirt and tennis shoes. Here is what I was thinking, but I am open to anything.

-PAM111H with a rubber strap

-Breitling SFSO - Black w/ bracelet

-Breitling Seawolf Ti

I just want something that is not too flashy, and will look good with sweats/jeans and a t-shirt.

Like I said, I am open to almost anything, I just dont want to break the bank on something that is going to get beat up pretty bad, that is why I am thinking about the PAM111H (its $158 from Trusty)

Yea, my buddy and I bought a few Breitling and a Rolex up there a few years ago, they lasted all of about a month before the hands started getting loose, started loosing time. And we bought them from different vendors up there. They all said they had "swiss" movements in them and wanted top dollar, which we bargained with them. Dont expect anything fabulous when you start looking. Then again, maybe we were looking in the wrong place.

Read up on the forums to find the flaws for each watch you want to buy, and just check the reps you look at.

I am getting my first "good" replica and I had questions about servicing it. I want it to last longer, and I dont mind spending the money to get it there, but is it really necessary?

What is the price to oil and clean the watch BEFORE it breaks?

What is the price to repair a watch once it starts loosing/gaining time etc?

I just want to see if its worth me to spend $200 before I wear the watch to have it cleaned and oiled as opposed to when it "breaks".

I am new to the rep watch world, and i want to keep my watch as long as I can. I will be wearing it 6 out of 7 days a week.

Okay, after reading a little, i found out that I want to try to stay awaywith the old Asian 7750 movement, but as I look at all the venders, thats all I see their Breitlings have. If and when my old asian 7750 movements break, who fixes/replaces them? Anyone in the USA?

Does anyone know where to find a 49mm Breitling for Bentley WITHOUT the old asian 7750 movement?

I was not aware of the old/new case issue. I had assumed they made a limited number of titanium cases as it requires a different manufacturing process than SS (a lot more pressure). Mine came with the old school 7750 and sure enough it broke down very quickly.

Speaking of the old 7750 breaking quickly, this is going to be my first "expensive" rep and it only came with the old Asian 7750, if and when it breaks, who can I have fix it for me?

I just ordered a Super Avenger, i want to find more info on swaping the rep dial out for an authentic one. And also the movement, it has the Asian, I would love to have an ETA.
