  1. I have, though I didn't do some wrist shots yet. For 6.6" wrist you can pull it off, for me I can do it barely but I needed to put a new hole on the strap, otherwise there's a big gap on both sides of the strap (the watch and the clasp sandwiches your wrist, and because the strap is a little bit tough, it doesn't shape on your wrist, rather it bulges on the sides).

So here's the pic, sorry it took so long :victory:

This is the gap, the deployant is in the end of the strap, see the space?

This is with the extra hole to remove the gap

First week was uncomfortable as hell, but the strap is slowly softening that I can wear it comfortably. I usually wear it when I'm dressed with long sleeved shirt and coat, otherwise I can't pull it off. I really have to dress to it to make the look, not like my PAM 026k which I can wear with anything :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  2. Did you receive the watch yet? I'm also interested in some on-wrist pics! I have a 6.6" wrist and am considering an HBB but concerned it will look a little too big...

  3. Haha, your watch looks great! Hw is it functioning? That dealer's realllyy expensive! For that price, I might as well top up a little more to get a 187! :D

I didn't get it for that price, I inquired if it's with his high beat movement and he said no-- when I asked why it's too pricey he lowered the price :thumbsupsmileyanim:

It's functioning nicely, a very all-around watch for me. Casual or formal it just blends in :) One gripe is that the serials are a little bit unaligned but otherwise everything is good. Since it's a keeper I'll be putting it up for service once the high beat I ordered from Helenarou arrives.

  4. Thanks guys for your input. Yup it is unfortunately, out of stock at the moment. Will check with Connie again end of the week to see when stocks will be expected.

I asked that before, dealers said it will be about two weeks and it will be available again.

But then again I asked that last week of July, and it's already September and they still no stocks yet?

Best to wait for something to pop-up at the marketplace, but if you really, really REALLY want it you can check it here

(emphasize on really, because I only recommend it for desperate ones like me :whistling: )

  5. Lantis - when I bought one of these, I did open the case back and the movement was identical to the photo that was provided on the dealers website. But, as many have mentioned before, if it is a 2824 then I would not be too worried about it. The decoration is really not relevant and not worth the hassles involved in sending it back and waiting for another one.

However.... if it is a clone movement, but you paid the higher price for a swiss one, then I would think you have reason to complain. Just my 0.02

As I said there's a back story that I can't tell, and I'm sending it back for refund, both sides happy. Yes, there's waste of time and money, but then it's part of this hobby, right?

  6. I don't understand ... the one you think is engraved ... thats a sticker too. They are both Cartier stickers on an ETA rotor.

On the gold sticker, the text is raised. On the silver sticker, the text is indented.

Ah, to be precise, the "Cartier" in the gold rotor is stickered like the HBBs. The other is stickered but engraved "Cartier" logo.

There's still a back story (the gold movement is also in the BEST version, and I'm thinking I got the BEST version, not the ultimate one) but the dealer and I already agreed that I return it and get a full refund. The thing is, if the other guys bought and expect to see the nickel rotor, they might be in for a surprise, or they might think they got the ultimate but maybe got the best version... a biiiig maybe.

  7. That movement looks like a Gen Swiss 2824 .. I would need closer photos of the balance [censored] to be sure. You can relax.

It is a swiss 2824, but it is not the movement described in the watch I ordered, that's what's bugging me. I prefer the nickel plated one since that is engraved, not with a stickered that you will be worried if it falls off and damaged the movement.

Yeah, nobody will look at the inside, but surely "what you don't know won't hurt you" doesn't apply to me right now. I'll be returning this as soon as the dealer gives me the return address.

  8. uhhh ... that one don't look so nice!

possibly you got a true swiss movement though!

and in the end: who cares? no one's gonna open it to check if your movement looks alright and call you out on it anyway ...

    Try this:

I'm surely going to be bugged, because I ordered it with the nickel-plated movement-- and FYI the gold plated movement is from the BEST version.

  9. I saw in the old threads some discussion about the mineral crystal glass of PAM 253. Some even tried to do a project on it and order a sapphire crystal glass. I'm not sure if this has been asked before (I searched) so is this possible? Seeing PAM 213 has sapphire crystal and they have the same case (minus the pusher at 8, correct me if I'm wrong).

  10. I agree. When im using google to sheck out a gen i have a hard time finding them. Most are reps!

I do like the videos that som dealers supply, but maybe its enough to post them on the dealer page and not YT? Anyways, if you guys continue with the videos.. pls add a Wristshot so that we can se how they look on a wrist. Cheers :)

They can't do that, otherwise they'll raise prices. Hosting videos on your own host = more bandwidth, and of course, more expensive hosting

  11. hi haveblue100, welcome to RWG!

I have smaller wrist than you are, and my limit before is around 40mm with a Rolex Sub. Tried my luck to 44mm with PAMs and loving it! I guess no matter what the size it all depends on how you carry it. For Hublot Big Bang sizing compared with a PAM, see this thread and you may have an idea if it will fit you. Best of luck! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  12. how is the AR coating on the tx crystal? i know that their were two batches of the tx crystal. One had bad AR, the other had good AR.

Thats good to hear. I had one of the tx crystals on my black magic that i recently sold, and it looked awesome. Made the watch feel and look like the gen.

Kind of conflicting message you have there mate. Are you the same Mosh? :whistling:
