  1. Incredible pictures and the watch wears excellently on your wrist for size also. You must be pleased! I sure hope you're wearing your watch on your right because you're a leftie, though! :)

Thanks! I'm pleased-- not my wallet though, the PAM craze is just starting on me  . Yes, I'm a lefty, that's one of the reasons I bought a PAM 026k first, which should be here next week :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  2. Nice story mate and wonderful pictures of a great watch. Your choice of background did make me chuckle, nice not to see that bloody granite kitchen work top they all use. Wear it well.

That's the nearest eye-popping background I found in my living room, kitchen is off limits that's the wife territory :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I'm curious .. are you the Lantis .. the guy who practically invented virtual item sales for real world currency in 2000?

First time I heard my nick associated with that kind of story!

  3. I was initially looking for IWC portuguese reps, and after some googling I was pointed to this forum to the point of no return.

After some research the portuguese is discarded, and I was in the hunt for some Cartier Santos, which I ordered and waiting to be delivered.

While waiting I have been introduced to the world of PAM and pulled the trigger and ordered a PAM 026K Destro, which is supposed to be my first PAM.

A little bit of itch on the wait, I saw Rojjben's PAM213 listing. Sweden to Netherlands should be a breeze. Why not? I'm not sure if I can carry a PAM with my 6" wrist, so this will be the fastest confirmation to end my sleepless nights. Bought it last Friday and got it yesterday and boy... I don't know why I hated PAMs before but they sure don't look like hate-able! So I got my "rep baptism" with my first PAM, the 213 Rattrapante.

I know. This thread is worthless without pics  Here it goes:

...and a wrist shot, even if it doesn't fit yet (the strap included was too big for me):

    Thanks for viewing!

  4. So EU members, where do you buy your straps? I'm caught with the PAM bug and now looking for straps-- the straps that was included in the first PAM I bought doesn't fit me and I don't want to ruin it by adding an extra hole. I've been searching the forum for links of EU dealers but I always find dealers from US/Asia, not in EU. Is it better to buy outside of EU?

  5. just a confirmation on the movement gents, as I'm still playing catch up:

old movement is 6497-2. Not platinum plated, but high beat, engraved

new movement is platinum plated 6497 (-1?), but low beat, not engraved

Kuvarsit/Sead/Puretime movement is 6497-2 platinum plated, high beat, not engraved

I don't understand the platinum plated feature-- is it just for show (because it's "whiter") or does it improve something on the movement?

Is it really noticeable (high beat vs low beat) on the seconds movement?

  6. Hi guys-- I've just received my first PAM and was little bit hesitant about it before because of the size (44mm). Now sizing it in the flesh, it actually sits nice on my 6.5" wrist. Before checking on PAMs though I was always thinking about buying a Hublot Big Bang. Any gents here with a Hublot and a PAM that can do a double wrist shot, something like this? Thanks in advance!

  7. one concern of mine is the longevity of the gold accents of the watch. i have seen the movement of the watch being sold here in my country (same serial reference as with the trustytime watch, a noob "117") and it's quite good smooth sweep and keeps good time. the only thing that is somewhat "off" is the black rehaut engravings, can this be remedied though?

    many thanks!

The rehaut is usually shaved off by other members-- it's an instant tell.

I'm not sure if trusty or other dealers ship to Philippines? They're not on the shipping list (of countries).
