I have a question for RICHARD LAWTON and kiki_hr. Of all your Breitling reps, which ONE would you pick as your favorite?
Everyone is welcome to answer this too...cheers!
here are some of my old ones. was a real bentley freak before i found this place and rwi and had bought mostly cheap asian 21j ones.
-
go for the black dial!
the double AR should provide hours of entertainment to stare at when ure bored which wont be the case with the white dial.
i'm also thinking of picking up a blue dial (rep of course) if i can manage to find some pics of the actual dial color first. all the BCEs on eBay are badly photographed and look horrible. and have yet to see pics from members here with blue dial BCEs without the bling bezel.
-
whoa! thanks for this.i too prefer the dial color on the rep.
oh,and what gave it away for me is the misaligned date.
-
man i am sorry to hear that.hope u get reimbursed for the gen omega. and good thing the rest were reps.
-
shes a beauty. i had the same watch...its huge! the caseback is from the 6.75 bentley edition with the big date.....would love to own a rep of that someday!
-
is that tiger woods? hahahah wtf happened to his face?
-
who is that chick in your avatar and what is she saying? thanks to her i forgot what your question was.....
-
hee hee that second hand looks like the ones u see on cheap a21j breitling reps.

i can imagine brushing the case being a real [censored].ud have to remove the crown, the pushers, the crystal...too much work.and the surface is so uneven it would be hard to get those lines straight.also someone on RWI helped point out that the polished case matches with the polished clasp of the leather strap so leaving it as it is wouldnt be so bad.now lets wait for DWSmoot for a pic of the brushed bracelet on the polished case! :cc_jockey:

Thanks to all of you who replied, I really appreciate it! I too feel that there is no AR.Steve G, I really really hope ure wrong cos I dont trust myself to strip it off if there is any.
-
thats a gen strap? Looks too good on that strap, and when u get the ar done - its gonna be a killer!!
I wish our dealers could offer ar-coating before shipping for a extra price. I would definately pay extra for that!
the strap is a rep! one of the new breeds that just came out.its gorgeous.and they have started offering double coated AR on the BCE and BSFs so hopefully they will add it to all breitlings in the future...
-
there is no ar there
phoband, are you 100% positive?

its a breitling navitimer.i tried to look for AR under diff kinds of light but no bluish tint.have posted a topic in the breitling forum, lets see if we get any answers.

Calling all Breitling fans!
Guys I need your help in determining if this crystal has light AR or no AR.I see no bluish tint whatsoever with my naked eyes but the dealer listed it as having 'light AR' so want to make sure as Im going in for a double AR coat (more details in the watch repair section if ure interested) and it cant be done if this crystal has any kind of AR on it beforehand
Do you see any AR? If there is a cetain way to take pics to make it more noticable please let me know and Ill snap em...
-
Okay thanks Ill do that
-
how can i tell if my crystal has slight AR on it? i dont see any but then again i could be wrong.can i post pics here and maybe u guys can tell me if its ARed?

I had actually remembered reading a post somewhere about these scotch pads. I was in the drugstore today and happened to notice them on the shelf. I had my Ultimate 45mm PO on that had a few light scratches on the clasp. I took the the pad off the shelf and rubbed it on the scrathces and it restored the brushed finish within a couple of minutes. I was amazed! I ahve been researching for the right material for a few weeks...who would have figured somehting so simple...
I had already started the process on my Navi band with an fingernail emory board and was not hapy with the result. I bought the Scotch pads and tried it when I got home. This was the result of about 20 minutes of work on the band. Just brushed it back and forth keeping the strokes as straight as possible...really was not that difficult with the surface of tthe Scothbrite pad...I was also suprised it worked so well. The photos were actually taken on the pad as a background...
so all u really need to do is brush the band with the scotch brite pad in straight strokes? do u have to apply a lot of force?
i will need something to hold my band in place if i decide to try it...
greta job tho.pls post pics of the band when ure completely done with it.

.**Painted the subdial hands black.**Cant wait to get AR on this baby.
What type of paint did you use? Latex or oil ? Modelers paint?
Did you have any trouble leveling the paint ?
Looks great with sub dials painted, they deffinately stand out better.
JKT
I used a Reynolds Permanent Marker pen...

i have the exact same one from Trevor. amazing watch, all it really needs is the case brushed, double AR and change of datewheel. i believe most dealers on this forum stock this watch.
