Semi update. I told my story to the admin team. Wasnt looking for any intervention on their part. I dont see them as a transaction police. I have a duty to read the boards, do my own research, and chose my TD that will fit my needs. Still working with the dealer. I think they are trying to make it right but..... Yes the dealer has been breaking promises to correct to the issue. but the bottom line is the only option to correct any watch problem is to send the watch back to the dealer regardless on what is agreed upon. I have to give praise to the admin team 1) They contacted me based on this post 2) They took my issue to the team 3) Within a few days they gave me constructive feedback on how to handle the issue and how to prevent further issues with dealers. I wont repost any PM's but maybe redwatch will do a sticky on what he PM'd me. I think it will be helpful not just to newbies but for some seasoned guys too. It may cut down on the slamming of TD in the open forum when the buyer have some responsiblity in these interaction. I will post more feedback once the issue has resolved.

I'm having an awful experience with a TD here. I wont post any details in an open forum, just not my style. I pretty sure I can write off my $250. I understand sometimes things go south in the rep world. But I think someone (mods or admins) need to know the details of the interactions and broken promises by one of the TDs. To help protect other members if this isnt a one time case and is really a pattern for this dealer. I dont expect someone to get my money back or make things right with that dealer. I've already consider my money gone. -Please if your not a mod or a admin. Dont PM me to ask who it is.I maybe the one who isnt doing things correctly and dont want to falsely accuse.

I seen this site before, great site. A gen fifty fathoms is on my list this year. If I could score one of those no radiation fifty fathoms now thats a true grail. I do like the newer bigger FF but give me a vintage 40mm FF any day

I'm new too. This is a great homey (is that a word ?) type board. This is one of the few boards I been in that I actually get quality info and great PM's from some of the seasoned members.

Update my watches made it to The Zigmeister just fine. But the tracking number still says the post office hasnt received the package for shipping. I'm glad The Zigmeister is a stand up guy cause he could have said he never got them.

I'm still the new guy around here. But I started off with reps as a try before I buy (gen) deal. I've been pretty selective on my rep purchases and did my research not just on the watches but the dealers, sellers, and modders. I look at some of my gens esp. the ones with a ETA movement I just cant justify the cost. The build quality for brands like SINN, IWC, JLC etc are so far superior than any rep.. But brands like tag, B&R etc... give me a good rep anyday. Reps has their place.

I did use priority flat rate but it doesnt even say it left the post office.

It seems when I ship to certain countries I always have big delays and issues For example Shipping to england and canada expect delays Austrialia - expect a month Italy - forget about it. a true gamble China however 5-7 days. WTF !!!! Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I wear my gen watches all the time in memphis. Granted I usually wear my gen 56x King G-shock

I have a pretty deep gen collection (Rolex, IWC, zenith, JLC, Omega, Breitling,etc...) but I just noticed I've been wearing only reps for almost a week. WTF !!!! As a matter of fact except for my U1 and my PO none of my gens are currently in my rotation. Its gotten so bad. I have a chance to a JLC master compressor NSA but I just cant pull the trigger because I keep thinking how many really nice reps I could get with the same amount of money. When I was strictly gens it was a whole lot easier. Get a nice watch, save or flip until you get your grail. Now its all about, do I like a watch enough to mod it ? If I mod a watch, how much do I put into it. and so on and so on. For me its not really about passing a watch off as a gen. becuase 99.9% of non WIS wouldnt know and/or care if it was real or not. So now I'm stuck in the rep world and making new rep friends/contacts on a daily basis. But I feel foolish paying for my gen sub when I could've gotten a wm9 sub for a fraction of the price. So my question to you - Is there a cure for my infection ? I heard the only cure is more cowbell....

I got a pair of rep studio and pro. I got them for the kids. The kids use them as status symbols. They are OK. I also have a set of gen Dr. Dre's. Which sound pretty darn good.The rep dont have the bass like the original.

For me a HKtan is a good alternative for the price. On all of my gens IWC's I've taken off the gen and replaced them with something a little more custom. In other words a gen strap isnt worth the extra money considering it an expendable item if it worn a lot. But then again I have over 100 straps. So take what I say for the useless dribble it is.

If I ever got a chance to get a snoopy speed gen (<$3000) or really good rep (<$500). I would jump on it in a minute.

I can pull out my gen manual if that'll help. But those buttons arent like my gen sort I think you maybe in uncharted territory.
