  1. I like reps of a good build quality, usually a diver style in a case size of 42mm-45.5mm, full SS. I've also grown to like chronographs. So far I've only had experience with Breitling, Omega, and Rolex reps; but I've been wanting one of those 2014 updated AP ROOs for a while. It's just never the right time. I would love to buy the 2014 safari in m2m for 310 all in, great deal and all. But like I said, I simply don't have funds at the moment for any rep that I want as I don't have the funds and I'm sort of picky on taste .
  2. Got behind on bills, so I had to sell it to keep from continually getting further behind. I had hoped I could buy a decent rep after selling it, I even had some money from OT, but alas, it's all gone and I have to be realistic and wait it out before buying even a moderately priced rep.
  3. As I have edited my profile to say, I won't be around for a while, it's been great, CYA whenever.

  4. Well at first I wanted one of the old 2014 NOOB ROOs, I was thinking a Black Themes. But since they are apparently sold out from all TDs I have to either pony up like double the money to buy an "upgraded" version, or happen to come across an m2m when I have funds available (not very likely) Either way I'm gonna have to hold out until who knows when to make sure I really have the funds (i know if I think I have the funds and buy, then I will immediately need the funds, have to sell and lose money), so I'm where none of you want to be, watchless. But it's fine, I'm not looking for any response, some day I will be able to buy a decent rep, and not end up broke around the corner.
  5. Still regarded as worse in certain ways, similar, better? Compared to JF versions I mean.
  6. I thought wrapped meant it was real gold put around SS instead of actual plating which is on the top and bottom of SS in a thin layer Sort of like how there is jewelry that is gold wrapped around plaster, it's real gold just not anywhere near what it looks like. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. I'm interested in buying a rep or two, particularly as sales are going on, but it's seems the one I really want (the last version of the Noob 2014 black themes) is sold out, any ideas on other deals currently going on?
  8. The version that got discontinued and dealers are selling off at a discount, nor the new ones. I found 1 dealer so far that may have some left on the bracelet and I know in general that Noob makes great quality watches, I'm just not particularly familiar with the AP ROOs. The only thing I can readily see is how much better they seem to look after the double AR crystal gets installed and it seems the factory "leather" that is standard I hear isn't that great, plus I'm just not a fan of leather on my watches (maybe in a few years, but as long as I only have a few watches I will still to all SS) anyways. Also I know those a7750 movements are known to be "fragile" (last I heard)
  9. I just thought it was worth mentioning for anybody that may be interested in buying them, among other things its a pretty moderate size (43mm x 12.2mm thick), so it should be wearable for most people.
  10. They are listed on PureTime as well, perhaps others, but its refreshing that some factory saw fit to replicate something from the Avenger II Series.
  11. I see them listed on ChazingTime, but only with rubber or leather straps, no Professional III Bracelet yet. Idk if other dealers have them listed yet, but if they don't, they should soon.
  12. I don't think repgeek needs a reason to ban anybody, buts its probably an error.
  13. These days if its a fairly recent Omega, they will rep it, just as sure as they do everything if it says Rolex, Panerai, or Audemars Piguet on the dial, and even SevenFriday.
  14. Too many traditional style Breitlings (which they will probably never rep) to do quartz/digital style ones. May as well accept that the factories forgot about Breitling.
  15. I saw those, i don't like the black on black on black look, even with a colorful accebt or two. I know ceramic has advantages, but theres no balance to the looks when 99% of the watch is black
  16. If you cant find it on any of the trusted dealer websites, it doesn't exist as a rep and any claiming to have it will just take your money and run.
  17. When it comes to such a machine gun, it should have some basis in practicality, and except for shooting targets i see no practicality in such a gun, and its not like such a weapon would be practical in a situation where theres a criminal/terrotist out to do bad, at least not in a crowded area such as the club in Orlando. If there were more practical scenarios for such a weapon, i would not say they should be restricted from civilians. You don't need such weapons to hunt, shoot targets, or defend oneself or others; whereas a precision semi-automatic can fit all those scenarios and more well. They want gun control, fine give them a little, just don't keep pushing the agenda more and more (as the anti-gun extremists tend to do).
  18. Just because the no gun model works in Australia doesn't mean it would work in the US, and its anti-constitutional I believe automatic weapons should not be owned by civilians, once you go down to semi-automatics i believe they should not be restricted; even large size clips or magazines have lawful uses (like how the AR-15 is popular with shooting sports). I believe this a perfectly reasonable middle ground between both extremes and wouldn't infringe on constitutional rights. I also found the attempt the government made to ban green tip 223 ammo is ridiculous and should be considered anti-constitutional as its a very common caliber for many rifles (and that variant is common and cheap), its far from an "assault rifle round".
  19. "Tutone" Rolexes? Rolexes owned by Tommy Tutone? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6WTdTwcmxyo
  20. I can't see ever going the franken route, but if i did, it would probably be a dial and maybe hands swap, so i would say if you do it as a % rather than dollar figure it would make more sense - maybe spend a third of what the gen would cost, lower if its a "high end" build (something like a vintage Rolex as they go for stupid high money)
  21. I wasn't even making a point this time, just stating that i have a Genuine watch, so its not odd that i would belong to a Genuine forum That is all
  22. Two very different styles watches, as I've said, im interested to see at what price the Albert Riele challenger gets released and what the quality is like (somebody is sure to buy and review one of the versions eventually) Its not really a case of what i would buy as i would never just go off of looks without getting high enough quality (for the price)
  23. And in to price, it seems they start at under $500, but the Challenger series is new, no info on price or the quality you would get yet, but thats a price range you don't really need to get 100% Swiss made at. It might be interesting to see if they ever take off and if worth the money So far though, all thats known about these models is full SS, 43mm case size, 300m WR and powered by a Sellita SW200
  24. Well i figured they might not be a true 100% Swiss company and knew Swiss made doesnt mean 100% made in Switzerland anymore But if the price isn't too high and the quality is good then its still a good product
