  1. Those look great, I tend to only like metal bands on my sport watches and that's what made me lust over the new 42mm Oris diver with its cool rivet band. There are lots of really great options for those who enjoy leather and rubber but I've rarely come across a metal banded sports watch that can compete with my fetish for vintage Rolex until now. It reminds me of the sexy old blancpain cases, same curves but now with a matching rivet band. If the older blancpain divers had oyster like bands they would have been a much bigger hit for me personally.

  2. Really handsome! I've been intrigued with the line after seeing the smaller 40mm version at a local dealer. Only problem for me after seeing it in person was the black bezel, it looks bad from the side imo.. The new 42mm one has a steel bezel and I can't wait to see it in person, the case on the 40mm was so so sexy and I just hope the 42mm version retains that amazing shape. I think it does from what I can see in pics and that video.

    Heres the 40mm

Here's a Tonny I picked up, the picture sucks but it's indeed black paint over brass with the relief edge showing. Not bad for 1/10 the price of a Dark Lord dial.

Looks great! Is it just me or is the minute track painted on? Looks like it's all true gilt except for that, unless the lighting is tricking me.

Minh dials aren't done on gen plates, the thickness of the plate itself is the way to check quickly, gen is thick, his aren't.. The dark lord uses gen plates exclusively for a few different reasons and that's why his prices have gone up up up lately, because of the cost and effort to find them. Usually the plate is era specific but not model specific. If a 6538 dial is 27mm then he can use any 1030 plate with a 27mm size.

  4. Freddy, isn't that a tog bezel? They had thicker coin edges.. The 6536, 6204/5 and 5508 bezels had thin coin edges like on Nanuq's gen. Ask phong if he has the shorter ones (shorter then his 6538 version) if not ask Minh the same question, a 6538 bezel will look out of place and theres no way to shorten them at all.

Just had a look to refresh and the tog bezels were the same except for the size (smaller) I guess yours is a rare version with 'thick teeth", most I've seen have the thinner ones.
