  1. Thanks for the subject. I am receiving a 45.5mm uPO (black with orange numbers and ETA 2824-2 movement) and Orange 42mm PO (with Jap OS20 Working Chronograph Quartz) next week. Have been wearing a 42mm PO with 21J movement for the last 3 yrs, but need more accurate timekeeping as I have to return to the jeweller on a frequent basis for fine tuning. Hope the ETA is more accurate. The Jap OS20 Quartz will hopefully be a boon - my Tag Link 2006 Chronograph (White) with Jap Quartz is ticking like a swiss clock (no pun intended!). It has been keeping excellent time for the last 2 yrs. We live on (almost) the southermost point in Africa - Cape Town - with Table Mountain as signature - best viewed from Bloubergstrand (my residence). Ships were banned from the infamous Table Bay from May-August due to the risk of running ashore in stormy weather, as are still happening today. This fishing boat ran into engine trouble. Another came to assist - both were stranded. To get to Cape Town city centre you have to make a huge U-turn around the bay (17km). An excellent spot for mountain biking is the Koeberg Nature Reserve surrounding the Koeberg Nucluear Power station - +-10km north of Bloubergstrand. 2. Having bought from Andrew twice in the last year, I have now been trying for 5 days to effect a transaction using a Mastercard. The Eshop5 solution has thus far given an error response (104, 105 and 108) despite me re-registering on the TT site under a new e-mail address. Very frustrating. I am awaiting instructions from Andrew to effect a PayPal transaction...
  3. This watch is awesome, I love the look, the feel. Came today from Josh in record time, 4 days from China to washington, dc. I also got the Ultimate PO and I love it too. These are fitting watches to make up for the 111H that I broke weeks ago. Hi Just checking how your 117H is doing as I am interested in buying one - P177A01 - PAM177H Titanium Luminor Marina 44mm - Asian Unitas - from Andrew. Is it keeping time? My first watch - a 42mm Omega Planet Ocean with Asian 21J movement is not too accurate (loses 12 seconds pd, but gains 7 lying face down and loses 17 lying on its side). I also scratched the glass - doesn't seem too scratch resistant. How often do you have to do the hand "wind thing"? Is yours the titanium version - it must be light and easy on the arm? Kind regards Jacobsrood
  4. Thanks to Andrew from Trusty Time I have been a proud owner of a 42 mm PO with 21J Asian movement and rubber strap (see Omega PO 42mm with rubber strap) since Dec 06. A few remarks after 3 months of daily wear: 1. Order and delivery was excellent - received in perfect condition - thanks Andrew. 2. Rubber strap is a revelation. The wide buckle pin means that very little stress is placed on the strap itself making for longer life. Strap is thick, made of just the right rubber compilation, but after 3 months it is showing signs of becoming shiny. 3. I took the watch to a jeweler for an immediate service and waterproof, but was advised to let it run for 6 months - gears and tooth should settle in. Gen items run for 6 months before receiving a pre-delivery service. Guess I'll have to bide my time. 4. I was assured that the audible internal wheel movement causing a spinning noise inside is normal. 5. Two weeks after purchase the watch was running slow - a fact confirmed by my jeweler whom made the adjustment. 2 months later is was still running 12-15 seconds per day slow. On a 2nd jeweler visit I was assured that the watch was 2 seconds fast, but that one would have to follow a trial and error approach as it was not the gen item. His test bench holds the watch in a horizontal position but normal use moves it all over. Further variations might be caused by gear spindle play with gears moving "up and down" in their guides. It has been adjusted to be running 12-15 sec faster. It is much better now, but still slow. It sleeps in a vertical position and loses time during the night - might be a cause. Hello 3rd visit... 6. The Sea master picture on the case back came loose (from heat and sweat?) after a cycling race. Pattex glue solved the problem. The "elevated" case back is very nice though, lifting the watch from your arm to have only the inner picture part touching your skin. 7. The glass doesn't seem to be very scratch resistant. It received a nasty 80mm scrape after trying to open a window from an awkward angle - looks like a splinter of glass of 0.1mm dislodged. Wonder if better quality replacement items are available? Apart from the small glitches I am very happy with the watch - hope to wear it every day for years to come
