I hear ya, started with the Breit, moved around to a few Pams, got a rollie, now starting to look at the Breits again. That superocean heritage is looking good...

Will the cape cod cloth help to restore a dull, no longer looking shiny BCE bracelet to its 'as new' look too? Mine is no longer really shiney, but would have to use the bay to buy one as I have not found cape cods here.

Don't think there is a gen version in white dial though? Have not seen it on the Breitling website, otherwise that would be the one I would be looking at.

Not a fan of the rubber either. Although having 24mm lugs would help with all those straps around for the Pams!

Seeing these photos lately of the superocean heritage, has got me liking it more and more (like a lot of other members I am sure). But, one issue I see is that it has 24mm lugs, versus the other Breits that seem to have 22mm lugs. So for example, you can't use the BCE bracelet on it. Are there other models that also have 24mm lugs? I would like the BCE bracelet, not the one the gen comes on - it looks way to much like a chicks bracelet . And also gen straps - do they come in 24mm? Thinking of getting the rep initially, but still trying to find the 'right' gen, the lug sizing may be a make or break for me there with the gen...

Looking at the urban legend page linked previously, only some phones will give the code - I have a samsung and it worked is all I can say.

The fourth does at least give a code when typed in, so at least that one works

I wouldn't wear it in the shower at all, with the heat expanding metal and all, even water resistant watches have problems getting hot water on them. Just read some of the other threads on this issue.

The idea behind the higher rates is the likelihood the currency will drop, thus you end up earning the same % rate anywhere in the world. Plus the risk of default. Not that it is really an issue in NZ, but the currency has been high for a long time; I would say given the looming US recession there shouldn't be a big change in the exchange rate in favor of the US, although NZ has been a largly farming country traditionally, but has moved away from that a great deal, it is still there thus a recession would not have as big an impact as the manufacturing countries. It is a couple of years since I left there, so am out of the loop a lot, but I think elections are next year - be around November usually. So no problems with change of government. Not sure what else to add really.

Looks like a fake tourbillion from those bad photos, and the subdials are too close to the center. Sure, 'full papers', but they can be bought seperately. Already over $2,000.

So I am thinking a GMT would be a watch I would like to get, but most of what around seems to be rolex, with a couple of Pams thrown in. What else is around? Like the Breitling eyecandy thread, and other such threads, post pics of your GMT's here! Lets see what everyone has.

Reading the comments over at RWI because of where the info came from, hiw idiotic of them. Basically now telling the members there to make sure they wind their auto's just for spite! Lucky a lot of the members are on both boards and will realize what is going on. Klinks ramblings - always hard to understand - does he shoot up before he posts I wonder?

It beeps randomly - if it has been running for a few hours usually, while it is just sitting with me not even touching it. If I switch it off then back on it will likely beep when shutting down and on bootup, but if left a while before rebooting it will not beep. Think it could be to do with overheating, should have it looked at.
