  1. ....@ muaitai ... I think you will find that members here have some nice rides as well. It is not that they don't have cash it is that they have huge appetites. You should use the search function and check them out......And welcome to the forum :clap2:

  2. Been called out when wearing my gen Datejust.......always the same ..."Is that a real Rolex?" ...I like to joke around with these people and never give a straight answer so the are never sure if it is a gen Rolex....usually, comments come from people who have only seen a few Rolex in their life.....I have a gen solid14kt Concord Panthere and get similar question.."Is that real gold?"...people are more curious than looking to out somebody. at least I believe they are.

  3. My favorite favorite cigar last night. Santa Clara 1830 number 5 a long Panatella. Have been smoking these since my dad brought me back a box from Mexico back in 1982. A nice 6 inch 44 ring cigar. There are no suppliers in Canada so I have to buy when in Mexico or do without. :( Directlly importing cigars into Canada brings heavy taxes that increases the price by 5 times for federal and provincial taxes. And it is illegal to ship cigars purchased online from one province to another province as well, so Canadian online retailers will not risk fines and ship. I envy my American cigar smoking friends.

Anybody else familiar with them. A nice mild smoke that is very creamy.

  4. Plenty of vintage flint or electronic spark butane lighters available for great prices. My son has started collection vintage lighters and some of them are amazing designs. I especially like the Art Deco ones. You should be able to pick up a great lighter for under $40 on e?ay. Myself, I have my old Zippo from 40 years ago and I gave my son my Dad's even older Zippo for his collection.

  5. I would send your daughter to community college and jump back into the watch game ;) just kidding of course. I happen to agree with you, nice for the money but be careful.:) Mike

cry.gifNo more watches for a while and my son is in grade 9 so he will be coming up soon. doh.gif Never thought about paying for school when the wife and I were planning these babies. huglove.gifThen they came along and they were so damn cute. The boy wants to go to film school so I don't expect a break for quite a while. Good thing i got my WM9 YM while I could afford it. I am going to have to live vicariously through you Mike for the next few years.biggrin.gif

  6. A tourbillon is not a robust complication. This is a watch that can breakdown easily and finding a watchmaker qualified and able to service it will be difficult and it will an expensive watch to fix.

On the other hand it is a beautiful watch with a way cool complication for an amazing price. I would take a flyer on it but I have a daughter entering university this year and her tuition is $19k. With books I will be ponying up $22k or so this year. Its no, no, no watches for daddy for a very long while.

There you have it...I am of two minds on this watch but for $400 I would go for it and be very, very careful with it. Good luck, I really hope it works out for you.
