  1. Thank you J for the superlatively kind review. Basically, the one thing that was done "the extra mile" for you, was the turnaround time for service, as you paid for a service and repair of the watch movement and the service and repair was duly provided as per my obligation. I do admit that my manner of communication could be cavalier, capricious or mercurial at times, but I wish to assure you (and anyone else reading this) that it will not compromise the level of work performed on the watch. Even if we disagree heatedly and start castigating each other on texts, PMs or verbally, the watch will be treated respectfully and worked on to the best of my ability. I do acknowledge that I am sometimes not the easiest person to work with, and I am grateful for your long-suffering patience. A virtue I am perhaps unqualified to benefit from, but did so anyway. I appreciate you taking the time to put forth such a detailed and honest review, and understand that not all aspects of your experience with me can be put into effable terms. Thank you for taking the time to condense the entire gamut of how you feel, elegantly into a review which is mostly positive. I do regret the contentious and disagreeable bits in our dealing, which you had thoughtfully and magnanimously chosen to omit. I guess that at the end of the day, a fighter seeks to win others, and a gentleman seeks to win others over. I am glad that you have patiently and graciously proven yourself to be the latter J. @solitudex, @kinkinza
  2. Like what yllekp said, rhe A2836 and A2824 are equally reliable. One key difference is that the A2836 is slightly thicker than its counterpart, and as such, the crown position on the A2836 seadweller will be slightly lower. Also the A2836 has an instant date flip (like the Rolex caliber 3135/3235) vs the slight roll, and then the flip over of the date minutes later. Anyway, it is possible to modify the base watch (whichever version you choose) to accept the either movement, there is good interchangeability between the two, though the datewheels are different and will need a Rolex dwo, for example, if you opt to switch from an A2824 movement to an A2836 movement. I personally prefer the A2836 movement over the A2824 and I’m modifying an A2824 ARF seadweller to become an ETA2836 movement version one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Oh Mr K there you are again. Thank you kindly. Love your new profile pic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you for sharing. Whoever built the watch, it is impressive all the same. I think whoever claims to be able to call out the ARF midcase on the wrist will not be telling the truth. Such a project really takes a lot of dedication, effort and of course tons of money and deserves to be shown off to the community in good spirit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is an awesome watch and an awesome shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If a master swordsmith forges a blade so sharp, and the warrior he sells it to uses it to effortlessly slay a hundred men, the warrior will be judged and not the sword. What we are discussing about is individual integrity and responsibility. You should draw the line at acknowledging the fine work and craftsmanship you produce. That is your accolade. How someone uses your work, is none of your business. Do what you believe in and know what your work stands for. Let every buyer of your watches/work exercise his own responsibility. I do not know if your post is a subtle hint at how good your work is, i.e, craftsmanship so fine, they can make a watch pass as gen, but regardless, what I said remains valid. Being good is not a flaw. But how someone chooses to represent your work/watches is his own responsibility. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not bad, there was one built last year with gen case and bracelet, and of course gen movement, dial, pushers, crystal, hands, crown etc So I agree that yours is the first franken built on an ARF base but definitely not the first of its kind. However I think yours is more impressive because of the amount of work involved, and the passion and motivation to get it done. When everything is gen, it is more like assembly and not modding. Well done and wear her well! It is watches like this that push the limits of the hobby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Are you offering modification service for members commercially? Or just sharing your costs and experience? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. On favorite tactic used by all dealers is to inform you that the watch you want is in stock (regardless of actual stock position) and take your money first. What happens thereafter is always a problem to be left for later.
  9. Hey T, the sales area is in a bit of a mess now and can be a pain to manage. We should just have a single section and not “advert” and “sales post” sections separately. Is there any way to clean it up and make it simple for members to post and crew to moderate? Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Welcome back and I definitely recognize your awesome avatar! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. +1. You speak truth, so much so that the decision to buy certain gens is a lot tougher than it used to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Like a breeze passing over the ocean mate lol. I have gotten nothing seized before, incoming or outgoing.
  15. Where are you based? I can help you with this if you’re willing to send it to me. I’m based in Singapore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I used kingwatch for over 5 years and I think her QC is reasonable. Never got a dead watch from her before. A good TD should always perform his or her own QC when the watch arrives from the factory and should know what to look out for in specific models. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ok but please do not try to do plugging for your sales in a section for non sales discussion in future, hear? Ignoring me won’t help the situation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I wonder if I’ve opened the gates of hell for her by making her gender known mate. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Oh wow. First time I’ve been named and shamed lol. Thank you B your creative and humorous writing is definitely evident in your post. Thank you for your review and thank you for being one of the easiest and most relaxed and trusting members that I’ve worked with in a while. Your watch goes well on your wrist and I hope that he remains a faithful and constant companion for you in a longtime to come. P.S.@lorenzo1910 and@mike on a bike, kinkinza is no young man, nor an old one either. She is a nice and bright young lady and she will appreciate it if everyone treats her like one lol.
