  1. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.... Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  2. Hey mate the cyclops is modded to be thinner and with a slightly better magnification. No secret really. Sent from Mars using tapatalk Thank you big A. I'm happy to share the mods and resources with friends. Your watches would soon have the same... Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  3. Let's not turn a newbie's call for help into any negative insinuations. It would only cause confusion to the newbie in addition to obvious unhappiness for the persons implicated. Domi and SSteel are both good guys and I would recommend either. I guarantee that they would come through for you, though the time taken for different jobs would of course vary. Let's be inclusive and give our fellow members a chance to add value to our community. Let's not divide the house with internal strife. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  4. Thanks guys. @martijnp The " diamonds" on the pushers are actually decent. I intend to keep them as they are bro. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  5. Just sharing pics of my modded lebron James. The watch released by jf is a gorgeous one, but certain flaws need to be addressed in my opinion to make it closer to perfection. Without going into verbosity, I will share the flaws which my watchsmith Spinmaster fixed, and the enhancements done by him. The flaws seem to be prevalent in this model. Flaws fixed: - alignment of marker at 9 - repainting of hands to the correct royal blue - fixed lower chrono pusher protrusion to the same as upper one. The lower chrono pusher of the rep sticks out too much compared with the upper chrono pusher at 2 o'clock. Enhancements done - servicing of movement - Swiss main spring for a 56hrs power reserve - hour hand base mod: trimmed base diameter, beveled and polished - cyclops mod to have a deeper looking datewheel - trimming of 3 o'clock marker for that space between datewheel and marker. Enough talk, on to the pics! Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  6. That is a deployant buckle. One end is fixed to the end of a strap. The other end has a slot where the other strap goes through, and a pin where the wearer could fit through any hole on the strap. The deployant buckle is then folded to lock it in place over the wrist when watch is worn. It's rather intuitive you know. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  7. Nice pics AJ and I see your lady's preference for bling! Sent from Mars using tapatalk

  10. Wow.. I wish I'm able to encounter adventures like this occasionally. That was very brave of you Big B. (But physically you are quite a bear of a man yourself.) Where I live, the greatest wildlife threats to us are mosquitoes and houseflies...
  11. I am in Beijing and had deep fried scorpions as snacks last night.
  12. For the Ice Bang, the one on the left is a V1 and the one on the left is a V6. Both have their own inaccuracies, and if you want the ultimate ice bang, it is best to have a mash up of the two versions. Otherwise, go for the V6 version. The Hublot Big Bang evo you have shown (ceramic + carbon fiber dial) is also the older version. I would recommend that you consider the V6 instead. It should cost around $400 or less. In general, whichever Hublot you decide upon, go for the V6 version (V6 is the factory that makes them). They are overall the best out of the box Hublot reps you could get today. Remember that the price would be around $400 unless there is a special promotion. Hope that helps, and all the best in your search.
  13. Speaking about this mod, there is a knack to the modification process. Like you know well, the watch can end up running ridiculously fast per day if the mod process is not executed well...
  14. I call this watch the "Envy Maker". Congrats and wear her well bro.
  15. It's a rep that is decent but with the classic flaws of most ROO reps. It would not be on the top of my list. If you want accuracy, go for the 44mm instead. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  16. +1.. simple and succinct, and sums it all up. The V1/1.5 actually has better bezels, hands, and dials in my opinion. The movement and date font are the only things that are lacking in the earlier Hublot versions. A mash up of the V1/V6 could be the ideal build without going franken.
  17. Congrats! And like what chronoluvv asked, why are you bare wristed? Such a shame, no watch to accompany you for this significant moment!
  18. First and foremost, great choice, you have eloquent taste in my opinion! The rose gold plating is real gold actually, but I think what you meant is that it is a layer of plating as opposed to a solid case construction. I have in my possession RG plated ROOs for 2-3 years now, and my experience is that the fading is minimal, if not non existent. In fact, I have just ordered a rose gold 15400, and am anticipating its arrival. If you like the watch, buy with confidence! The plating on the watch will last long enough.
  19. AJ Thank you very kindly for that offer, and kudos to you for once again offering to help me. I appreciate it very much. I have no doubt that you or your watchmaker could get the movement sorted out for me, but my problem is movement reliability. I'm just concerned that it'll break down on me yet again after x months. That blazing blue crazy hours in your pic is easily the best I've seen to date. Amazing details accuracy too! I wish that it'll last a long time with you and that you'll find in it a beautiful wrist companion. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
