  1. Sadly, I live in Canada. But I also love these watches - I've purchase about a dozen now, and have had absolutely NO problems at all. Joshua is an impeccable dealer... his packaging is made to withstand both elements of nature and the security clearance.

They are much more interested in packages coming out of the Middle East than China these days.

  2. Hello.

I was looking at all of the tourbillion timepieces on Perfect-Clones, and one instantly caught my attention as a favourite:

There is only one problem I want to settle before ordering. Joshua advertises the piece as a "Synthetic Sapphire front and back + Display Case back". Regardless, I wouldn't mind an engraved back. However, what is pictured here confuses me more than some of those famous 'impossible object' and 'eye trick' photographs.

Are you seeing what I'm seeing? The bottom part of the watch looks like its melting over the screws. It's eerily fascinating, but at the same time somewhat off-putting since I can't get a good image of the watch in my head... a personal necessity before ordering.

Can someone here look at the picture and try to figure out the truth behind the deception? Or am I just going blind, or insane? :g:

  3. I'm getting my first Omega this January. A Planet Ocean 42.5mm without chrono on orange bezel from Josh.

I am only worried about the luminous materials used. I hope the quality will be good, because I have a certain "thing" about seeing a watch nicely glow in the dark. Call it a passion if you will, but for me - the glow is the way to go.

  4. Thanks for the kind replies guys.

I was browsing this forum, and it seems as though the population here is much more professional than RWG1. Over there, we had a 350-something page thread where members posted ONLY images of "pretty ladies".

But I guess sometime a light atmosphere is important in its own right. Perhaps we do need a bin?

Anyway, are there any Texans here?

  5. Welcome Corgi, I hope you'll enjoy your stay. This is a great place.

But I find the HUGE US-signature rather offensive. Don't get me wrong now, I don't dislike you or your nation's flag.

I don't think this is the forum for flag waving and/or nationalism.

This is not a competion where the biggest flag-signature wins.

    GOD BLESS THE WORLD!

Ha! I'm glad I decided to tone it down from my previous signature:

I also considered an image of President George W. Bush, but I thought that may be going too far.

Why do I love America so much? You folks stick together, demonstrate pride for your country, and many of you work tirelessly to keep peace and democracy stable in the turbulent Middle East. Are there any Texans here? That's where I would like to live when I retire... it's so beautiful, and there are guns.

  6. I assume it the rotor makes a "grinding" sound when winding. This is absolutely normal! I have the same movement in a Panerai, and the winding is audible even it a distance. This is not a concern.

However, it you hear "rattling" (shake the watch up and down instead of side to side to keep the rotor still but watch moving) then something has come loose. Though, juding from the fact that you are not complaining about any malfunctions my assumption is that this is not the case.

  7. Great post The Zigmeister. I have about 20 or so of these movements. never serviced them. Just wear em. I know some will finally break, but in two years everything works. I need to keep "knocking on wood". I figure these reps are so cheap, that when I do have to service them it's still a bargain.

BTW, at least half are chrono's, and I use em.

    God bless you.

This is testament to the real truth behind all watch movements - from ETA 2836-2 all the way to chronos.

Nobody can tell me that a rep dealer who exports DOZENS of chronos every DAY sells devices that break within one year of use. NOBODY. They would be out of business... and from what we know of our reputable dealer friends; Josh, for example... it just doesn't work that way!

Furthermore, the manufacturers of these movements did not go into their marketing meeting and decide all of a sudden to create a malfunctioning and poorly working movement. They engineered the best solution at the best possible price (7750v2) and we can feel the benefits of this.

Unfortunately, some people just don't know how to take care of their 7750s. They have "fingers of steel" and do not treat the watch gently, or the play around with the chronos and reset them without first disengaging them... indeed it is these people who adorn these forums with complaints about their watches. They represent the MINORITY of buyers, everyone else (you - for example) enjoys their watches and finds no reason to exclamate it as such on here.

I am buying a Breitling Navitimer 7750v2 from Josh in January, and I await to use it for decades to come!!
