  1. The modern Noobfactory Rolexes all have a big flaw: The ROLEXROLEXROLEX engraving doesn't look even remotely correct and it's not properly aligned with the '9 hour marker. Lots of peole say that it's not a big deal but for me it was... I don't know why they refuse to fix it... makes no sense. It's the same issue with all (otherwise nicely repped) Rolexes from this factory. PS: I'm quite surprised how little interest this new 2010 Submariner has generated in the watch forums (rep and gen). Very few people seem to be excited about it.
  2. 80 year-old spell has finally been broken: No Italy, Argentina, Germany or Brazil in the final. For the first time ever. May the best team win.
  3. GMT today... it's hot like hell out there.
  4. Look cool. Unfortunately there are only a handful of vintage Omega reps. SM300 is the only one that comes to mind.
  5. I think the lume has just "worn off" and dropped. I've seen that happening on many vintage Rollies. @watcher: That's a sick watch. You have to put it into your safe and leave it to your children. Who knows what kind of insane prices these go for in 30 years from now...
  6. I'm not a big car fanatic but I can appreciate good sports cars. I dislike Lambos and most Ferraris... they're a bit "over the top" in similar fashion as men's diamond watches. But for some reason Porsche 928 does it for me. It's a true classic. And the old BMW 8-series too. Eunomians will agree. Actually these aren't that expensive... I could buy one now but cars like this require time and enthusiasm. And right now I don't have either.
  7. I just heard from a dealer that this baby should come out in 6 weeks. It got pushed back a little. Will be curious to see it.
  8. That is a great effort! Any chance of replicating the 1675?
  9. Ask nicely, you might even get free shipping. http://www.chrono24.com/en/patekphilippe/1496173.htm
  10. I don't know what it is with those new fat lugs Rollies... they do absolutely NOTHING for me. They are nice lookers but they simply don't have the "Rolex spirit". It's weird how much I've learned to like the "crappy flimsy clasp" and hollow old-style Oyster bracelet during the years. It has some unexplainable charm. It's so "Rolex". Go for the classic 16610 man... that is a true classic and you don't even need a vintage then. That style is vintage... or should I say "timeless".
  11. @Robbie: I totally agree about the blue DD. I also have a weird fetish for blue dials and that particular DD must be one of the most beautiful blue dials ever. Can't wait to see your photos. PS: About that ceramic bezel Sub... I'm actually quite surprised how little interest it has generated in all watch forums. Nobody seems to care much about it. Not that it's a bad looking watch but those fat lugs are a departure from the classic Rolex look that you just praised. I don't see it much different from the GMTIIc... if GMT didn't grab you, I doubt the Sub will, either. Just my 2c.
  12. Enjoyed the post Robbie! Come on... let's see pics of the blue DD.
  13. Is that your baby or a web find? He really looks tough as nails.
  14. @Importr: Fighters is my absolute fav. in the Navi line. Brushed case & bracelet makes it so much nicer. Awesome watch... I wish they'd rep it properly.
  15. Best looking rep white Fish I've seen.
  16. Nice Rollies! I have been wearing this a lot lately.
  17. Yep. Who remembers the golden days of Abay... the reps were all in the $170 range with gen ETAs. Actually I'm not sure if the ETAs were any more "gen" as they're now, but the prices were right. PS: Is there any info and updates about the 42mm PO? Is it really coming or was it just a rumor?
  18. How about this one? Well this Perpetual can never be repped but... I don't know what it is with these BTRs for me... it's the case shape. Beautiful.
  19. Hmm... to purchase a B01 black or wait for the new 42mm PO... decisions, decisions...
