I'm not sure buddy, I'm assuming they are the newer versions, I spoke to narikka and he said he can source mbk 1680 i may see what they are like, don't think I'm going to do a major amount of modding with gen parts but it's always good to have the base where I can mod in future if I decide, and hopefully I can with the mbk version

I emailed narikka/reg last night and he said to me he doesn't deal with parts but he can source mbk red 1680 subs. Think this is the route I ay take

Hi guys sorry to drag up an old topic, are the red 1680 Mbw watches that narikka could possibly source good out of the box reps to beat around with a bit of ageing until gen parts are sourced? Does the dial and straps look any good, I would want to keep it on stainless, cheers guys

Which ever colour you went for buddy you'll love it, it was a favourite of mine for a long time but I had to sell it to fund my sub 16610.ive paid for that now so may look out for another

Hi buddy no it was deffinatly too tight with the gasket, may have worked with correct press, I wish it was a genuine case set but it's a rep case set from one of the trusted dealers. still a cheaper option than buying another crystal,gasket and press and possibly going wrong again. Not going up its just easier,it's not my best upo it's just for a beater when I go fishing ect Ry

I'm guessing the genuine omega crystal gasket is slightly bigger tha the rep gasket, hence how tight it was? Oh well you live and learn

hi buddy this is a dial from my upo 45mm which as far as I know is the latest version.i only bought it 3-4 months ago. Here's the comparison rep vs gen. Rep is the dial with white numbers on the left. Hope this helps Cheers Ryan

Yeah big time mate, emailed A dealer today and I'm going to order a Upo case set which includes case,crystal bezel and insert all together quite cheap so I'll prob do that at some point I suppose it gives me a good excuse to order another rep as I might as well get one when he sends my case set

Too late just chipped the crystal trying to squash it in with vise and 2 bits of wood! There's no way in the world that was going in!

Well I've got my gen crystal gasket in the post and I've tried heating the case on the heater and putting the crystal in the freezer to chill........any I've tried and tried and tried and tried to hand press.. Think you have to be like Arnold Schwarzenegger to hand press these in!! Anyone know if the crystals actually fit with gen gasket. It look like a green plastic ring?

Your right buddy gen crystal would be a better investment but again it's quite an expense. I'll keep my eyes open for some second hand parts . Moneys all tied up in my new tc sub which I ordered last night

Cheers again buddy for the dial I was a bit unsure to start but now I am defo set on the coloured numbers being a nicer touch on the dial, it gives it another feature.....I love it. Regards to the rubber strap like you said it always good to have choices,it keeps the watches fresh I agree to about the bezel i think I would rather put the money towards a nice 1680 build that's what I want to do next I think. Fancy a bit of vintage

I really want to get a black bezel if I go gen, I just can't justify £200+ just to correct pearl I need to get a rep bezel for my other upo 45mm build if any one has one for sale
