  1. I could probably pick out one tell. AR on the GC grand carrera) and 1887 are not gen like. But I haven't owned an 1887. The stock AR is Similar to IWC BP out of box. I have a black GCC17. Thought about having an AR mod. But used the money for a gen gator strap. I could live with the stock AR. I love the watch but for $400, I'd rather get a Noob or H-fact PAM. Hope this helps

  2. Wait for when they rep the P9000 movement in year 2020. Like kaiser said, it's a great rep but not a super rep. Don't quote me but all of the 1950s case is not a super rep. I love my 359M but the 288K, 237H and 286J gets more wrist time.

  3. Hi everyone,

Hope all is well. I was browsing through his site just now, and noticed all of the 3714 models now have AR. But in the video, I couldnt notice the blueish tint its supposed to give. Is it colorless? Not sure if its already been brought up in this forum. Tried doing a search but nothing came up. Maybe it was a typo on the description. Could anyone confirm that AR is now offered with the newer versions of the 3714?

  4. Hi all,

I recently received my first IWC (another IWC 5004 on its way). I did the usual, winded the watch up about 20 rotations and then winded in the locked position. But the movement doesn't work. Is there any way to find out if the watch is DOA without harming the watch? Everything seems to be intact. There's no rattling of some sort. I am aware that the Portu models are a pain with the seconds at 6. Am I one of the unlucky ones? Any suggestions or tips is greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    CWD
