Is it the newest version? PS Thanks for the update!
Yes, that's the same one Andrew listed, but available in swiss 2836/a2836/21j instead of just 21j.
-
I would hit Andrew up again - timesshops is listing these with clone & swiss ETA, so they must be available. I think Andrew was mistaken.

I dont know who dw is but i saw some of his watches they are nice. The thing is if he scammed you guys here, then why is he on other sites? Why not just ban him everwhere?
I don't believe DW is a dealer on any of the other rep fora - this was his last bastion so to speak, the final bridge has been burned.

what is the current email you have for him? the last time i ordered in the spring, it was marsaktive

Do you know the BPH by any chance?
would be a 21600, only drawback. did he say how long he expects before the 2836 versions are available?
-
Andrew said that the cheaper model is only available now. Do you think its worth it?
Weird - I figured they would have updated all around. Welp, it's a good movement either way - it's pretty solid.
-
I am betting it's an update to this old one: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=7111 - and I'm betting if you order that old one, you will get the new one, but with A2836. Ask Andrew to confirm - he will reply to your email super fast.

+ 1 You have to make a tool to grab the jumper spring and pull it in (gently). It's very doable.
Or push it from the other side - I think sneed is saying it's possible to screw the cover on with the DWO attached though, rather than getting the datewheel itself back on, while the cover is already attached (by getting the spring out of the way) . I had mentioned the spring method in my post, I just know that the first couple times I tried it, the DW wasn't settled 100%, it jammed, and some teeth on the calendar gear got mangled. So I didn't really think that method was worth someone trying if they didn't already know what they were doing. Now that I've done it a few times, it's WAY easier than realigning the overlay. Way way easier.

I sent Mike the hand for tonys watch on the 28th,so hopefully that should help close that one out

As has been said, the problem is in the 'keyless works'. As Nanuk said, sometimes you can fiddle with the stem and gently pushing the button and it will re-seat itself. It is worth the effort to try it more than a few times.
If that doesn't work, Sneed posted a tutorial on re-setting the keyless works, and as your luck has it, it is an ETA2824 in his tutorial.

As many as I have done, I still pull up sneed's thread and go step by step. It might look difficult at first, but it is not real hard to do. The worst thing that can happen is that you mess it up, and have to take the parts you removed and the movement to a watchsmith. And you plan on doing that anyway. You just might fix it yourself. Then that will lead you to what many of us have been led to, doing more of your own repairs.
On a rolex though, he's gonna have to deal with the dwo, because you can't screw the cover plate for the time set gears back on with the overlay in place.
Lining dwo back up is a major pain, and I'm not sure I'd recommend the "push the spring in and slot the datewheel in with the cover in place" method to a newbie either because if you use just the littlest too much pressure doing that you end up mashing teeth on the calendar gear.
He's probably better off just sending off to someone and learning on spare mvmt

I'd use whatever polish JKay was using on his watch when the insert fell out.
That or superglue debonder available at most hardware stores. http://www.maplin.co.uk/debonder-46000
whatever is in that stuff, will probably dissolve the crystal gasket as well..

I know this is an old thread but I was hoping you could help me. I have been looking on startime for ages, but for the life of me, I cannot find any watch case sets on there. Do you have a link?
Just do a search for 3135 case - it will show uo

So I just looked up allenes, that stuff is a cyanoacrylate glue (it's super glue)
Not sure you are going to be able to get that bezel unstuck without damaging something else on the watch - acetone would dissolve it, but will ruin the gasket.
You could chip it off probably but you'd have to break the insert to get it out.
You still MIGHT be able to break the glue holding the bezel in place if you can get a good grip on it. Cyanoacrylate doesn't have a very good shear strength as it's quite brittle when cured, so the kind of pressure involved holding two rotating pieces together, it's not tough against. So you may be able to shatter the glue

I tried finding hypo at michaels but no luck. I got aleens jewelry glue instead which said it works with watches. I can't find anything about dissolving it, but if assume acetone would work. Just wonder how bad that will mess up the watch.
It will dissolve the crystal gasket

Ok, let's say I'm a moron and got too much glue on the inside of the bezel and now it won't turn. Any idea how I remove it? I assume I got it on the crystal an that's why it's stuck.
If you used hypo cement you should be able to break whatever seal you've created there easily by just turning the bezel.
Did you end up using superglue?

I know you can get the straight white hand from ofrei if you want to go for an earlier model (the first several years had straight seconds hands with no lume dot)
barring that, you could just get some matte white spraypaint and turn a metal hand into a white one. then relume (the spraypaint will dissolve the lume )

A 3804 IS a converted 2813.
Is it the same base movement design with a modified mainplate and keyless? I did not realize that.
Cartel 1680 midcase same as 5513?

You can sand a little off the bottom of the crown to make it a bit thinner. Looks much better that way too
