I was waiting for you're comment .

The side by sides you took when you first got the gen are what got me started.

I have to say thanks - the MH is really nice on. Comments everytime I wear it which is great since some of my friends have gens.

One of my friends has a gen rose gold pride of Mexico when he saw the MH he wanted a try - loved it and then asked if we could swap one weekend! .

The quality is very good and the colour really striking.

Still not decided on a strap yet - not enough hours in the day!

What are you looking at next??

I was told by toro that the Montauk is sold out. Originally

they set the quantity to manufacture was 300. Except

the factory decided to make only 100!

From what Toro told me, that this is the end...no more

are going to be manufactured! Time will tell If they

stick to 100 pcs. this watch will be a real collectors piece...

The diver will def be my next pick up for sure. I am trying to get one that's already been all modded but these have rarely come up for sale and when they do they're gone in a heartbeat . Maybe there will be a new version soon.

Yes Toro did say that that they were all gone now. With the gens and reps together there's 400 in all which is kind of cool - limited edition.

I have been watching for a while and I’m hooked bad!

First post - here goes.

The AP reps look amazing - they are so close to the gens it's hard to justify not getting one at the price!

After loads of reading and trying to choose one to start my new hobby with I opted for the V2 AP Diver - which by the time I’d made my mind up was out of stock everywhere. So after seeing some of the amazing pics of the Montauk from you fine people I decided to go for it and contacted Toro - nice bloke and great do deal with, answered all my many questions. I will definitely be ordering from him again.

I ordered the watch and it arrived in about 10 days – happy!

The watch is amazing! I’m so happy with this. Was a little worried post ordering that the colour was not really me but as I took the bubble wrap off I was sold!!!

Toro forgot to send me the QC pics before sending but I’ve got to say he really came through regardless. The watch is perfect – flawless imo. I will get a new strap – contacted Aaron already. The one it came with isn’t that bad – fits nice (I have large wrists) and been wearing it all day. It will do for the moment anyways but the HKTan will be the icing.

Keeping perfect time and no problems so far – apart from the amount of time my eyes are on it whilst I’m driving!!

I have been told by Toro mine was the last one out of 100 produced so already kind of a collectors piece.

I have tried to take some pics but they came out shocking!! I am trying to brush up on my technique and will update with some pics ASAP.

That's awesome. Is that the dlc gold? I wish I could wear gold. I love how it looks on the watch stand. I have an awesome blue gold nardin. I gave it to my father. Every time I see him wear it, I'm like man that is an awesome watch. But, I feel like its too much on me.

I had a client who had the gen gold AP rubber clad. Was my introduction to loving AP. if I had to only pic 1 brand. It would be AP. 2nd sinn. Then breitling Pam. I'm finding that more and more I'm into the straps. There are plenty of watches I like. But finding that perfect strap with a great watch you actually love on the wrist, not just in 10x digitally backlit photos, now there is a challenge.

I'm building my new Lightbox 2/3 of the way done. I will be "rebooting" my collection. And a watch i searched for 7 yrs was just completed. I actually built one early on. But there was always. Something not 100% right. I got a similar watch last year. And I liked it but it wast the first piece I grabbed. This one, I randomly got a new strap for it, not even the one I really wanted, cause panatime was sold out. I waited for months for them to get it in. I gave up. And BAMB. I realized what was missing in06. And realized this is what I always wanted.

I could go nuts with AP and straps. I remember those first MBK safari's. Uhhhh I wanted one so bad. Anyway I'm really excited to show off my new supers+ straps, I really believe I have at least 4 pieces that would be the jewel of many collections - of course some of us have a desk soo Full of AP's (you know who you are) that they are piled on top of each other, thrown like laundry in the corner of the room:). I do have rubber clad, Reuben barricello, and whenever my guy can get stock the diver. - there is one more with the small writing in the sundials. Blue dial, but can't afford that one and I really want an AP with bracelet

Funny, I was going to just recommend HKTAN. I spoke to him today about a custom build - one he hasn't done before I know right? Can't believe it I think, by the way, if he does this right, people will want it, it's based on a popular strap, but I need it in blue and it's only available in black. There is something to be said for longevity. And he was building "super straps" since we were paying top dollar for watches that today we would laugh at on canal street.

Thanks. I am going to try and contact him. So many combinations look good with the MH. I wish I had the strap already. Toros delivery I've been told is quite rapid and I don't really want to take her out without her new shoes. The quality of the reps and the straps you cen get for them are simply amazing.

I have a couple of friends with real APs (1 black themes, 1 diver and a rose gold pride of Mexico) and I am sure none of them would be able to tell the diference between rep and gen watches or straps.

i know i keep going on but .. the rg version .. so so so many comments about that watch when im wearing it friends and people when im out ... its much better look then any pic ive posted .. !!! yes i do have the gen still but its still with ap dealer ... like for ever i will ring them Monday and ask when its ready !! then a group shot !! the mod i have had done is on the rg which was the raised crystal and the rounded pusher are on there way !!

if your going for a strap then i would recommend the hktan choc brown hb with the aqua stitching . and not the honey coloured ones as they dont set the watch of with choc brown sub dials !!

Watch all ordered - My first rep. Can't wait. Who did the mods for you? Toro?? I am going to try and get hold of a strap quick. Anyone have one sitting around then please, please let me know. I really liked the black/blue stitch and also the choc sharkskin too - different. I saw the pics here but missed them when they went for sale . Then I will try and get some pics up although I am no photographer!

I know already!! - I'm still going for the steel MH. I love that RG - but the steel is very, very cool too. Do you still have your gen? The side by side pics you did are just way too lush!!

Did you get anything else done to your rep? Service/mods etc??

Now just have to get hold of a decent strap for it - so many to choose from. Cant wait!

Hi Z. I'm good thanks - hope you are welll too. Man they are all out of stock with the AP divers so have just been waiting for them to come back in. The fully modded ones that come up for sale go really fast and I keep missing them (anyone got one looking for a new loving home - please PM me). Oh well I'll keep trying. The pics of your new MH look sweet as usual. I like the black screws too but either way it looks impressive. When do you think she'll be landing??
