Thanks guys. I also found a decent hand set (which I believe to be Phong). Let's hope it fits and them my project should be able to be completed. On another note: I received my 78350 bracelet from Yuki and I am rather disappointed: It rattles more than the DW bracelet and - what bothers me even more - the center part of the links is wider (like the one of a 20mm bracelet) and don't fit my gen 557 endlinks. After all the good feedback I am a bit surprised or did I receive a different bracelet ???

It fits the gen crystal without modification. PS: My offer of $180 was accepted and I received the item within a week

Ok, have to warm up this old post. Got my parts in. Nicely engraved DW case set for V72 with a good exotic dial (black sub dials, even if the dial feet don't line up with the V72). The V72 from ebay turned out to be actually nicer than it looked on the ebay pics and runs like a charm. Now trying to put it all together the problems started First the large second hand disappeared (don't ask, but somebody might have a broken arm one day...) and the DW sub seconds hands don't fit at all. So now my cry for help: does anybody have a handset that will fit (size and color)? If yes - and especially if you are in CONUS please send me a PM. Thank you in advance.

The watch smith is on it and I spoke to him today and he thinks he will have one ready by the weekend. I left him my watch so he can make sure it will work.

Everybody saw it, the golden DW is mine whenever cc33 finishes his dream. I will sell a kidney in the meantime and buy a golden Rivet bracelet BTW - the endlinks seem to have a great fit. Are they stamped? And if yes what number?

And I am not even a fan of gold watches, but this is the shi@t. Awesome piece. Looks like you are really building a completely new watch, so I am calling dibs on the DW gold

The endlink fit is great. Just got a set of gen 557s myself and hope they fit as nicely as yours. Great build. Where does everybody get these gen dials .... every time I see one it is $2.5K +...

Wiesn might have a point here. Especially if you don't mind the one fixed hand. Those movements are easier to find and not so expensive. Either way I will see the watch smith tomorrow morning and will let you know. PS: My mystery movement is working fine as of now .....

If this is the MBK pearl, they have definitely stepped up their game. The pearls were horrible on both my MBKs

The gen bracelet would be a great improvement .... as for the aging, maybe just wear it every day

Wow, this looks a lot better than I thought it would .... might have to send some money DW's way hoping he is back on track. I actually never had a problem with him. Everything I bought from him was OK and delivered in reasonable time.
