Altough I had some bad luck on Chinese QC (the stem broke off, which is replaced by the dealer), this rep is among the most accurate ones I've ever seen. I used to own the gen and the only two flaws I see - apart from the fact that the hands are not really blued, but painted - is that the gen doesn't have AR at all and secondly the 'Swiss Made' should be half the size. Buy yourself a strap from the Watchboys, have it completely serviced by a watchmaker and it will wear like a gen!

In the past I've bought, modded and sold several reps and now only 3 highly modded reps are left. I found out that no matter how much I mod a rep, I'll still be unsattisfied with the 1% of inaccuracy. So I bought some gens which make me feel better in this respect, altough it didn't give me the initial excitement that you have while waiting for your rep to come back from the watchmaker. However, I can't afford to buy the gens of all my favourite watches. Way too expensive and in most cases the intrinsic value of the gen doesn't justify the high price for me. So in the end I decided to save for one more gen - the nicest I can afford - and try to live with the flaws of the modded reps.

The AR on my 'ultimate' DSN PAM088 was way too blue, so I had it stripped. Looks so much better without AR!

Great tuto, but not for the faint-hearted.... Would be awesome if somebody could produce the ring and prepared dial in batches and sell it as a mod kit.

Welcome aboard on the only board that unites both gen and rep owners . Seems like a very nice collection! The best advice would be to start reading watch reviews and dealer experiences of buyers. Most of the dealers carry the same collection of watches, but there's a lot of difference in QC and after sales. Enjoy!
