  1. Uhm, so what about men that can't choose between breast, bootys or legs and want it all?
  2. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY Tag Heuer Link Chrono
  3. Poland would be great! But the last time I was there I got lost for days with all these nice girls and cheap booz around..... For the same reasons you can count me in for either Prague, Bratislava or Budapest And Paris, London and Barcelona are very nice too, but somewhat more expensive.
  4. When somebody advertizes a watch for a higher price than economical justified....... it's a free market. If someone is too lazy to do research or for whatever reasons decides to pay for an overpriced watch........ it's a free market. On the other hand, the main reason for the existence of RWG is to protect and inform people. So if you advertize an overpriced watch in a free market, also be prepared to get negative feedback. As long as nobody gets personal attacked I don't see any harm if people give motivated negative feedback in a sales thread. But I do hope that the same people are also willing to criticize overpriced collector's sales.......
  5. To me size depends on the ocassion and the size of my wrist, not what the current trend is. So I'll try to keep things simple: - formal ocassions wearing a tuxedo or the like = no watch at all; - business ocassions wearing a suite = watch not too big and dial not too busy. Absolutely no bracelet, but a strap matching shoes & belt; - casual smart / sporty = anything goes as long as it looks good on the wrist and match the style of cloathing.
  6. Like Corgi says the subdial spacing is incorrect. Also the dial is too flat while the original has a more '3D-design' with recessed subdials and a raised middle part. So it's not a very accurate rep, but since few people will know the gen it's more important how the rep looks as a watch. I think you still will be happy when it arrives.
  7. Thnx Max! Oops, I think I just bumped it again....
  8. Yeah, let's bump this again. Here we go!
  9. Nice watch and pic, Uncle Jay! If you focus on a white piece of paper first while setting the white balance, you don't have to correct the color that much as Narikaa did in Photoshop. And don't forget to whipe off your finger prints before you take a pic....
  10. Angus's ultimate 111G is more accurate than the H, but has regular lume while the H used to have or still has superlume.
  11. Since we're in the rep world I'm inclined to think that all 'Swiss' reps actually could be frankens or 100% Chinese. In fact, I think that even the collectors are never 100% shure and they simply pass on what the factory tells them. I've experienced at least 2 times that one of our most trusted collectors unpurposely sold me a low beat 7750 for a high beat because the factory had informed him wrong. So I would never buy a Swiss rep for the 'Swiss' movement, but only because it usually comes with sapphire and AR, instead of mineral glass without AR on the cheaper Asian version. Movements of reps I'm planning to keep are either fully serviced by The Zigmeister or are swapped by a sealed and preoiled ETA or DG2813 from Cousins. That's the only way to guarantee a quality movement.
  12. Welcome aboard! The best advise I can give you is not to rush anything. This forum has a wealth of useful information. Study all you can about the watch of your desire. The search function will get you on your way. There have been a big thread about the legality of reps by Pugwash including a lot of UK specific info. Narikaa, Precious Time and Homer are safe to order from. They ship within the EU, so no c*stom hassles. Don't use sellers that are not on this forum. And please upgrade to Supporter status once you've found out how useful this forum is. It will also give you the opportunity to resell your own watches to other board members and get you access to the more technical forums. Enjoy!
  13. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY PAM088 on TWB croc
  14. TUESDAY Tag Heuer Link Chrono fully Ziggified
  15. For sure this dude is sporting an awesome watch on his wrist. I wonder if it's his own..... . @Stephane & Andy: would be great to meet each other again. Perhaps we can entice Golfman to help organize a Paris GTG in summer time?
  16. Wow, B! Am I mistaken or is this a gen?
  17. What a great start of the weekend!! Still wearing my crystal-less 3717 on steroids.....
  18. To be more precise, the sandwich dial consists of 2 parts. The underlaying part has a superluminova layer. On top of it sits the upper layer of the dial of which the numbers have been cut out. This results in the H-series historic dial. B-series to G-series have the same principle - only the cutout numbers are filled with SL. That's why it looks like the numbers have been painted on top of the dial. But in fact these are 'filled indices' dials, which most people call 'sausage'. Angus's ultimate 111e is a perfect example of this. If I'm correct only the historic logo dials (PAM000 en PAM005) are the exception and have SL painted on top of a single layer dial. The contempory dials have the SL painted on top as well. These are the painted dials.
  19. Congrats, LordRasta! I had mine a few days ago and also Andy has turn 2 years today. Let's have a party,
