  1. Obviously it's not possible to list all the flaws of all the different models of all the reps available. But as a quick reference I do see the usefulness of a list with some basic apparent flaws of the most popular reps. I remember when I came to the board I wanted to know 2 things: what apparent flaws does my favorite rep have and what's the difference between all the available movements. The latter already being answered in The Zigmeister's info. At least this list can answer the most basic questions that are asked over and over again. And hopefully it encourages people to learn more about a particular watch by using the search button....
  2. And then together with the PAM0164 it will be released as super reps with perfect dials, cyclopses, date wheels and sapphire glass with strong AR..... I wish, though......
  3. He definitely gets my vote too!!!
  4. Just love the search-button Is there already a better version out?
  5. We want more, we want more, we want more
  6. Thnx for the very nice review! I expect my YM to arrive in a few days.. can't hardly wait
  7. Wow Rolli, that's an absolute beauty! Thnx for sharing
  8. Apparant flaws on a sandwich PAM (111/112/176/177): 1. clear white 'Luminor' and 'Panerai' fonts 2. L Swiss Made L - too close to the 6 There are other flaws, but then you have to get a closer look On automatic PAMs the poor mag of the date is the easy giveaway.
  9. A rather cynical point of view to which I agree... Unfortunately even the people who try to do good in daily life are not aware of the 'ungood' they unintentionally and unknowingly do to others on the other part of the world. We drive cars running on gas supporting inhuman governments, we eat chocalate and buy diamonds from countries who maintain a system of modern slavery, we buy clothes made by children living and working under terrible circumstances - and yet we just go on buying and closing our eyes...... So here you have it, on the one hand we condone countries/cultures for their - in our eyes - unhuman behaviour while on the other hand we support their system to feed our hunger for mass-consumption..... It's a strange world we're living in....
  10. I did, but I was surprised that a Davidson dial these days looks so similar to an Angus dial Anyway, enjoy your beauty!!!
  11. Wow, that's a real beauty!!! Is that a Davidson dial? The dial with filled indices looks a lot like the new one from Angus.....
  12. I had 7750GMT movement in a PAM089 which broke. See http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry362485. According to The Zigmeister he has seen some working ones and some bad ones. Guess one has to be lucky......
  13. WEDNESDAY IWC 3717 on Watchboys THURSDAY Lorenz Theatro @Vic: closing my eyes now
  14. 26 years + 10 years of added life experience makes 36 and still going strong, hahaha.
  15. Angus is selling the ETA-version hxxp://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/puretime/WATCHES/0%20NEW%20ARRIVAL/00-2007%20NOVEMBER/Rolex%20Yacht-Master%20Noob/ Does it look similar to yours, Stephane? By the way, I went to an AD yesterday and saw a YM with the SWISS MADE exactly positioned as yours with the gap at the 6 position. I guess Rolex has several versions out.....
  16. Let's see what we have here SUNDAY PAM0177h on Watch Boys MONDAY And again.....
  17. But will the 7754 movement fit in the 240 case and fit the GMT hand? Altough I must say that if the 240 comes out I'll probably buy 2 then That 240 is a real beauty! @Teejay: hopefully my collector will suply a replacement movement that I can sent off to Canada...
  18. Thnx, The Zigmeister. I 've just sent an email to my collector. Maybe he has some kind of warrantee and can provide me with a replacement movement.
  19. Unfortunately this week I received the sad news from The Zigmeister that the movement of my broken PAM089 (28.8k A7750 + GMT) was beyond economical repair. All the winding gears were stripped and GMT function gears were damaged due to a poor made movement. Too bad, since I had this watch only for a couple of months and really loved the design So here are some last shots before I close the curtain...
  20. Congrats on the repair! Makes you feel good when you succeed, does it?
  21. Awesome strap collection! I would choose the antique brown on the left or the dark brown in the middle. Very powerful looking!
  22. Bonsoir monsieur Stephane, That's an awesome watch... congrats! Normally I'm not really a Rolex fan. This is the first who grabs my atttention. How accurate is it to the gen? What movement does it have?
  23. I'll have to agree with you. A lighter strap gives it more presence. I think a caramel or even a lighter color will really bring out the black of the PVD. Thnx for the pic
  24. Meeting some clients today, so wearing gen. Lorenz Theatro @stephane: I just love your Yachty!! Normaly, I'm not into Rolex, but maybe I have to change my mind with this one. How accurate is it?
