  1. I'm specifically asking about Holland. So far I've been reluctant to buy from collectors outside the EU, because I'm assuming it can be lost to cust*ms. But I was also assuming that it is not allowed to bring reps in your bagage . To my surprise this appears in Holland to be officially allowed to 3 pieces per person! Makes me think there might be some tolerance for internet import as well.... Can't imagine, but you never know That's why I'd like to see something official stating it's either totally illegal or tolerated to a certain amount. Edit: See post 107
  2. Probably forbidden... BUT, this is 'common practice' as stated on the the official cust*ms site: hxxp://www.douane.nl/particulier/reizigersbagage/reizigersbagage-16.html (you are allowed to bring 3 watches max in your bagage) What I would like to know is what the 'common practice' is for importing reps through internet. Edit: see post 107
  3. Where did you get this information from? I couldn't find anything official on internet to confirm this. I did find lots of official information about bringing a maximum of 3 replicas per category (jewelry, clothing, CD's and DVD's etc.) into this country coming back from holidays. Also curious to know what the law says about possesion of reps.... Edit: See post 107
  4. A new day has begun for me. I was hoping to find RWG overwhelmed with donations. At 08.53: 38 donations received. Net $1,047.60 People seem to be willing to spend a lot of money on reps, but a small donation to this forum is apparantly too much. Very sad......
  5. Donation sent... 276 views, only 28 replies... Come on guys & girls, we're not there yet. Let's keep this playground alive!
  6. I've never ordered with Davidsen myself, but I hear different stories on the board. Seems that there are people who find his watches the best PAMs available. Most of the watches come already with some mods like superlume, thick crown & CG and recessed cannon pinion fixed. However, other people think his dials are way off.
  7. I'm on this board since december last year. I bought 6 watches from Precious Time only, since I'm based in the EU. The SMP was a little troublesome with the bracelet screws and I didn't like the quality of the wave pattern of the dial and replaced it with gen dial and hands. But that seems to be the current quality of this rep. Other than that I've been very happy with this collector and wouldn't try another. In the end it's still 'first choose your dealer, than the watch'.
  8. I'm sorry mate. This illness is uncurable. Best advice I can give is to learn to live with it and fight the symptoms by buying new PAM's. You're specialist involved will be PT. And on the serious side The only really accurate PAM are the 40mm PAM50 or 51 (white dial). All other models have some or more flaws, which are moddable to some extend. Most contemporary versions have wrong datefonts and bad cyclops, which is an easy giveaway. Most people here have started their PAM-collection with the classic PAM111 or 112. Welcome to the forum!
  9. Great list, thnx!!! @admin: could be nice as a 'sticky' for reference
  10. Hmmm, if they could only produce a reliable asian 7753 and a version with seconds @6 for starters, that would make us all happy..... But I still want that Monaco, hahaha
  11. The Primero being repped would really be a dream. Imagine all the possibilities... Unfortunately, from what I've heard from the movement experts here is that that would really be mission impossible. The Primero is even a more complicated movement than the 2894. Maybe it's not only a technical issue, but also an economical. There are way more parts involved that need to be copied and redesigned. And maybe they even need to change the production line in the factory as well. All in all a huge investment what probably would lead to a too expensive movement for an average rep. But this is just speculation from my site...
  12. The Asian 7750 has been around for a while, but doesn't have the dial/date configuration suitable for a Monaco. It seems very difficult for the rep makers to copy an ETA 2892 let alone the 2894 chrono version of it ...... Are you Dutch by the way?
  13. I bet you would buy then both the black version and the blue Steve McQueen version just like you did with the 2 Ubified daytonas??? Would make some nice pics: the daytona's, the PP/AP and the 2 Monaco's
  14. I'm not a movement expert, but from what I heard is that there are no current automatic movements with the seconds dial @3 and the date @6. I hope one day the rep makers ar eable to make an Asian 2894.... My first rep was actually a quartz version of the black Monaco Chrono. The dial was reasonable, but the date wheel was white instead of black, the shape of the chrono pushers were wrong and I think the dimension of the case was also off. Too bad.... It's still one of my favorite watches I'd really like to see repped! Here's a nice link with a nice Monaco collection: http://www.thewatchquote.com/Tag-Heuer-Mon...age-No_5462.htm
  15. Stamps with flaws are the ones that have the biggest value
  16. One of my latest dance tracks ended up as background music in a porn video trailer by pornstar Sandra Shine (check the free and decent snowboard trailer on her site) Too bad I've never been at a porn shooting... You are a HERO, hahaha. But I can imagine what you're saying, though.. @rckh: hope our posts can get you back in the game!
  17. Very nice pics again. Especially the grey chicken strap on the 089 look awesome! Where did you buy it?
  18. Reps will always be reps. There will always be small or big flaws. Maybe the rep makers do it deliberate, maybe they don't care for the ultimate perfection and QC. The bottom line is that for a very reasonable amount of money you get something that most of the time look more than reasonable. If you strive for perfection, than buy a gen, but realize that you're spending a whole lot more of money. And even gens (I own 2) sometimes come with imperfections or may get problems over time. And before you have your watch back repaired it can take a considerable amount of time too..... Maybe you should take a step back and try to look at the watch as normal non-RWG/WIS-people do and look at the beauty of the watch as a whole instead of scrutinzing every detail. As a music producer there was a time that I couldn't enjoy music anymore, because I was over-analyzing how the music was made. I could only hear the imperfections and musical flaws. In time I learned to feel the emotion of the music back again and that satisfies me both as a music producer and as a music consumer. Hope this makes sense for you..
  19. Hmm, guess I missed something there, hahaha. Unfortunately yes. When the movement was out of the case I put the stem in while pressing the release button firmly a couple of times. But each time it didn't 'lock' and the stem came out. The times I did succeed in 'locking' the stem I couldn't set time and date, but while trying heard a lot of noise. And now the movement isn't running anymore. I had this problem also with the 2824 and after fixing the keyless works everything worked perfectly. So now I have the feeling I messed up the keyless work of the 7750... At least I'm getting experienced in messing up keyless works
  20. Wow, what an amazing post! Love the collection and the pics, especially the PAM063 on black strap. I'm afraid this will lead to more rep buying for me
  21. I think I just damaged the keyless work on my 7750. I can't get the stem back into the movement... Can someone answer the original question, so I know what I did wrong?
