I have a pre-owned gen seawolf on hold with a local reseller, pending a final price discussion. It an just an amazing timepeice. if I could find a rep, I would buy it instead of the gen, but there are just not any out there... wear it well... you are a lucky man...

I too have the white correct hand stack version that bytor just spoke about, and I can tell you its an amazing time piece. of all r0lexs I would have to say its the only one other than a sedweller that I would buy a gen version of. I am actually collecting parts right now to close the gap between my rep and the gen. I've sourced a gen crown, tube, clasp with a few links and gen spring bars. I'm hoping for a gen dial as well, but $400 is a bit steep for me right now. as for your bracelet, follow the directions which can be found a few places on a few of the boards and you will be much happier. well, wear it well....

the only other thing I have done other than what you just listed is us a good carnuba wax after the final cleaning. I've gone as far as melting the wax to a liquid and soaking the bracelet in it. I've found that the thin layer of wax that stays on the inside of the mid link acts as a sound deadener. I use a power tooth brush to remove the excess wax along with microfiber polishing clothes. also for filing I've found that nail files are great for softening edges. you can get any grit you could dream of, the are cheap, and they have great solid backers for great control. anyway good luck and wear that oyster well.

I have been following this thread with much anticipation, hoping for a poitive result. It's a great thing that the gen crystal fits, it makes one of our issues dissapear. as for the second biggest flaw, the symbol. I understand that the gen dial has a bigger date window. carlsbad said there was an issue with the date wheel and date window, but what was that issue? could a new date wheel allow for the gen dial to be installed? I don't know the availability of a usuable date wheel, but I bet its cheap enough. another thought I had was to do the crystal now and wait till the factories get a better dial with correct logo and smaller date window. I believe that precioustime has a 007 upo with the correct logo, so its only a matter of time till there is an asaian movt version of it we can take a dial from and add superlume. anyway, I applaud you all for pushing the limits of upo modding. when and if there are pics I can drool over, I'd love to see.

I have a sfso on the way, and wanted to buy a black pro diver strap, and 4 of the AD I went to required serial #'s for me to purchase one. They all said they were $75usd, and they had them in stock. I even tried the old' "my watch is out for service, and I dont have the serial numbers written down" trick. i dotn want to resort to the 'bay but i cant find a black one anywhere else... good luck in your quest. if i find an online dealer that has them ill share it with all.
