  1. western union is also simple if you wanna do it online...cost a few bucks extra but i didnt have any moneygram locations near me and they dont do online in aus...

but even with the fees it was only just over 100 US shipped for what is one of the best/better entry level reps available, and you get ttk's sense of humour for free :)

  2. Hope you guys get what you were promised by: let's say, next Christmas! Dealer has a reputation for being VERY slow, as well as rude. Good luck dealing with this one. BTW...he is not a philanthropist, he's making bank on this, or he would not be doing it!

didnt you get your 'piece' heard on repgeek? please leave it there and dont interrupt rwg's group buy.......

  5. TTK, would it be to much hassle to post a pic of the watches available, ie DRSD and the 'etc' part if there are others, just so the 'rolex noobs' can decide which 'noob'mariner they prefer :)

    1. Cornerstone = LV 075 + LV 075 for his friend

could people copy this list into further requests to save him some hassle

  7. Well...after the UPO not seeing wrist time in a few weeks due to stripped crown threads i decided to give the 'hack' of grinding down the crown stem a little so i could reduce the overhang of the crown..

removing and replacing the stem is simple enough, ground down a bit replaced the stem, no worries but needed a little more, did a little more but now when i replace it its stuck in the date change mode and cant be pushed in further or pulled out further(ie wind or time change)

now...whats the issue...could i possibly have removed it when in the wrong mode(i dont think i did but its hard to push the pin and pull the stem at the same time so it may have changed from wind mode to date mode during removal), is this the/a problem?

any tips on a fix....if the stems to short eta stems are standard if im correct so i can always get a longer one and start again but there must be some issue stopping me even pulling it out to the 'change time' mode...

    help welcome...

  8. Well firstly i must blame WBK(from repgeek) for this, him and his 'good deals' motivated me to bite the PAM bullet and add this to the other few reps i already own....

Seeing as it was somewhat of an impulse buy i didnt research the model prior but now that i have im thinking its a tad 'fantasy' due to not being able to find the same wording except on a brushed model(PAM36?), but maybe someone here could clarify...

great value and apparently has the swan neck bridge and regulator(not that im 100% sure what that means :g: )

anyway, its also my 1st quick(5 min) attempt at a couple of watch photos until i can put together a light tent, so be kind :D

  9. Well, finally after 12mths of just hanging in there today it finally wouldnt bite so the crown is sticking nicely out from the case

    now, the fix...

i never use this watch in water so im assuming the 'remove pin and file down a small amount' trick would be the best for an aesthetically pleasing crown near body result

    correct?

if so, is this a 'to tricky for a novice' technique or is it as simple as 'remove case back, press crown/pin removal button, file and replace'

anyone every posted a step by step on this, pictures etc ?

also, as i posted this over on R.G. some people have suggested 'fixing' it instead of the simple way, but i was under the impression that the original parts dont fit...also how much does a new crown and tube cost compared to the 200US cost of the watch?

    Thanks for any tips
