  1. Me thinks this guy is pasting photos together of different watches to scam a 45mm PO Note the buckle is missing correct engraving "Professional" is missing. Also for a new watch, it's missing the anti-counterfeit engraving on the caseback. Can the gurus have a look and confirm? If so let's get the auction pulled. *bay item 150221744038
  2. To my eyes it looks like they fixed the Omega emblem, no up turned "toes". Or is the photo of a gen? That's really silly that they never got such a simple thing correct.
  3. A plastic bottle cap of the right diameter works well to hold down the bezel while it's drying, or you'll run the risk of discovering one side being higher when it drys. just put a small notch in the cap where the pearl is. In my case a bleach bottle's cap was the right diameter. Then just put a big phone book on top to weight it down or use rubber bands, elastics to some of you.
  4. Yep, I had the same problem. You can get one end of the spring bar in easily but the other is a b*** I used dental floss to pull the spring bar into the lug hole, but it was still a bit of a pain to do! But the end links fits really tight against the case, which is a nice plus.
  5. Sad how bad it is link
  6. Glad to see that dirtbag finally bounced from fleabay. Looking at all his "private" auctions he's fleeced nearly 2 dozen buyers selling reps as gens. From his watch descriptions, he is probably a member of these forums as well, too bad that people take the information from here help them to rip people off. BTW how did you get him bounced? Or was the timing of his ejection a coincidence?
  7. Calling the experts. Real or otherwise? This guy has peddled some questionable PAM's, PO's, along with gen Citizen's. Lately, he's sold 4-5 of these Tiger Woods Golf TAG's link Could it be he's selling this watch? Link Do a Google of his fleabay handle "popartusa"
  8. Looks like the glass cover protrudes above the stainless part of the pearl, like mine did.
  9. The pearl was on tight with lots of glue, I put the bezel in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes then it came off easily. Then you push the glass bit out from the back with a pin. Don't bother trying to re-glue the glass, It's waaaaaaaaaay too small to mess with. After applying lume, I used some clear automotive touch up paint to re glaze the pearl (apply several coats, then scrape it level with a razor and polish) Good luck!
  10. I did it, removed the pearl pushed the glass bit out from the back, and, this is the important bit, epoxied the pearl to the colored bezel, then epoxied the bezel to the ratcheting mechanism. this way it sits evenly, and yes the pearl's lume is brighter now but only noticeable after a bright charging. All and all I don't think it was worth all the effort, and my pearl wasn't as bad as most of the ones I've seen on the boards.
  11. The HE valve has most of the components of the gen but not the tight tolerances. It's probably missing the crown gasket (probably the most important gasket). At least mine was and I've heard this from others as well. It's the easiest area for water to get in I'd highly recommend you have a crown gasket put in it'll also help you from losing the HE crown.
  12. A few days ago, for laughs, I wrote to the seller, asking for some photos, it was originally listed without even the crappy cell-phone camera pics. Seller assured me the watch was new, but had no papers because it was a gift. Also the husband didn't need this "Omega" because he already had a "Rolex". After I saw the revised listing pictures she added, I wrote back to MarciaB0728 and told her, Your watch is new alright, but the guy who assembled it eats rice every day of the week. Seems this canal street jewel just closed for $2025.00 plus a mere $48.00 for shipping. Probably could have picked it up in Asia for less than $48.00. Oh well. Hope that's the last of MarciaB0728
  13. Thanks, I'm new to posting. I think I got it now.
  14. I'd laugh if only someone wasn't going royally screwed. This one is something else. Currently at $1525 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...679765&rd=1 Auction ID 180077679765 in case the link dies
  15. The crown on mine was fine upon arrival, but just to be safe I added some silicone grease to the threads and gaskets. If it were my watch I'd pop the movement out and try screwing and unscrewing the crown a number of times to try and smooth out the threads, and if that worked then I'd add some silicone grease to the threads. I don't believe the threads are cut very well. The HE valve was another issue though as it came off in my hands after a few days I reattached it with Loctite and stopped fiddiling with it BTW my watch has only lost 4 seconds in 2+ weeks of wrist time so I'm more than pleased with the ETA movement.
