Hi Eddy,
Ask Watchinger to make you one of these.
It took 1 week to be produced and shipped (!!!) to Portugal after I placed the order.
Send him my scheme and ask him to produce it on natural leather:

profile and one (half sewn half not) capturing the extra fine texture of the strap...
Cheers to you all and a special big Vielen Danke to Herbert for providing me the best straps for my pams - his 26/26mm Vintage leather is a real winner - and to Finepics.

and some shots of a work-in-progress distressed strap.
Special order from watchinger (done amazingly quick and with an excellent leather) open ended and with no stitches or punch holes.
I´ve done the distress and controlled ageing process myself, and also the sewing holes and the half sewing...
... the rest will be done as soon as I get my vintage 3646 back from a special revamp...
Cheers,

Just to share some pics of my new aquisition made on a sunny morning on the Lisbon flea market - for less than a swatch.
Just needs some cleaning and a silencer...

The watchsmith gave me his opinion on a RXW case.
He said it would give him too much work to get it fitted on it.
On the other hand this movement is the basis for the molnjina ones so I think it should have the same measures and fit. But he´s the professional not me...
I dont know if it fits the 3646 I sent you but I can measure it or take some pictures to show you.
Cheers,
M.
Right now I would swap that bottle of chianti for the damn mvmt!
Hope I will get some good use for it. One thing I can assure the little b***rd is gorgeous and very well finished!
BTW can someone explain me the difference between a 15 and a 17 jewel movement?
Cheers,
M.
Nice aquisition! It´s a beautiful movement.
Question is: what will you do with it?
Last weekend I bought myself a cortébert cal. 616 on the local flea market (not for 0.99 but cheap).
After 2 days of rejoice I took it last Monday to my watchsmith who told me that it would be very difficult to fit it into a RWX case so now I dont know what to do with it!!!!
I wish you better luck with yours!

Same problem here!!!
No problem acessing RWI at the office but here at my house unfortunatelly Is not possible.
And I really miss Enzo's instructive posts.

The 45mm Radiomir case offers the advantages of removable lugs for fitting a spectacular strap and a display back for watching all those little wheels go 'round and round....
I'm persuaded that someone is going to figure out that a sizable market exists for this with the three Vintage (California, 2533 and 3646) dials.
Hi V,
Do not avaliate the possibility just for the looks on the case.
You have to ask a professional if that is possible.
Luckily I found myself a vintage Cortébert Pocket Watch this morning (now under repair because the spring wheel was loose) with a cal.616 movement.
The case is bigger than the vintage 3646 but the movement is the one that was "copied" by rolex to equip the original 3646.
Even so I think some adjustments have to be made on the case to accomodate that movement.
I suppose our 3646 rep cases dont have the same measures as the real mccoys...

Just go for a Vintage Leather from Watchinger (I have a 26/26mm from him and its an outstanding piece of work! Got another on the way but this time custom made for my 3646).
You find him here, on ebay or on his site (www.Watchinger.de)
