  1. Hi Guys,

    I talked to him Monday. He is in fact sick again/still he is consulting with a couple of doctors and taking lots of test. So far they can't get a handle on whats wrong. He did say he was starting to feel a little better but gets tired easily and can't do much work right now. He thinks he will continue to improve but it's a slow process. He feel bad about leaving everyone hanging but asks for your patients.

  2. As they say to each his own. I love crono watches. I know it's not the popular sentiment but the quartz dosen't bother me. Even with all the flaws mentioned had I known this was in the pipeline I would have waited a couple of weeks and got this instead of the 4th gen pumpkin from Andrew. I may have to do a quick sale on it and get one of these to try.

  3. I am so excited to see Dave is visiting the forum and posting his library of wonderful pictures and reviews. Dave was one of the most helpfull people I encountered when I first started hanging out on the watch forums over a year ago. I hope he will grace us with his presence soon and often. Hope to hear more from you soon Dave.

  4. Thanks for the support guys.

    RBJ Told me this should be an easy fix so I decided to have a look inside and the results were good. I was able to re-install the knocked off marker and set the gmt hand to follow 24 hour time. I still can't set the GMT hand independently, but I always used it like it's set now anyway. I'm going to watch it and see how it keeps time. And probably send it to Joe at a later date to check out the independent hand adjustment issue.

  5. Looks like the 11:00 o-clock hour to me Chef...

    I bet a local watch guy can handle both the lume and the movement issue...

    Short period of time and you'll be praising it's restoration...

    TT

    Thanks TT,

    I was so upset I couldn't see straight. Ha Ha.

    I will send it to Joe and he will fix it up, I am sure

    @ehtolcad

    Thanks for the support.

    @rbj69

    thanks bro

  6. I can't belive it. I dropped my GMT and it knocked the lume off the 10:00 marker. What's worse now I can't set the gmt hand. The watch still runs but the movement definently has some damage to it. Man this was a good watch all modded and relumed by RBJ. I am so bummed out.

    Thats the knocked off marker at about 9:00

  7. Hi Guys and Gals. I had to post my good news. My beauty arrived today as promised from Joe. I can't begin to tell you how much I like it. In person you can the quality of the watch and the mods Joe did. I don't think I will be wearing much else for a while now(sorry GMT). Thanks Joe!

  8. @zbrrt

    I see you are new to the forum. Let me first say welcome. I do find it a bit odd that your 1st post here is the one above. :g: Most newcomers go by the Hi I'm new here forum and make an introduction 1st. And I understand how confusing all that member profile stuff can be with all the flags to choose from and all.

    You must have been around other watch forums before this one because speaking for myself I didn't even know what a crown guard was when I got involved in reps over a year ago. So again welcome and I hope to get to know more about you soon.

    I will say however that I have been around long enough to know that RBJ's work is the best you can get. That's why I chose him to do the work on my watch. I bought the best watch available and sent it to the best available mod guy on any forum.

  9. I got this email today.

    Dear onexchef,

    The last week or so TRC has been experiencing some difficulties with the server. I won't go into details here other than saying that the server was restarted with the wrong configuration settings a while back and this is what caused all the problems. Anyway, all members should once again be able to connect, the server is sending out validation e-mails and other e-mails normally. Because of these problems this e-mail is going out to ALL members, even if you have opted to not receive e-mails from the admin. This is due to an error in the database. So if you do not wish to receive these e-mails, please use the link below and edit your preferences in your control panel.

    Looking forward to see you online at TRC again.

  10. @docblackrock

    You have made your feelings clear to everyone! And now your watch is on the way.

    @HighDef

    It is clear that you feel you were mistreated in this matter. Should it have taken so long? Maybe not, but I don't think Joe expected the LV to break again. Then as they say the rest is history. In the end your watch is now on the way. Enjoy it because it is stunning.

    @RBJ

    Move on bro you can't please all the people as hard as you try.

    @Admin

    Don't you think this thread has out lived it's purpose? Unless you think Joe is really trying to scam people. Maybe it's time to close it?
