  1. I'll admit, I returned to my car in the parking lot one night after dinner to find a small ding in the driver's side door of my car.  There was also some blue paint left with the ding.  Low and behold, the car parked directly next to me had the same blue paint and their passenger door was lined up perfectly to the ding.

I was livid.  It was a small ding, but I simply hate people who are so self consumed that they care nothing for the property of other people.  Without much thought, I cocked back and kicked the side of their door so hard it left a dent about a foot in diameter.  I took a deep breath, got in my car and drove away.

The instant vengeance felt so wonderful, warm and fulfilling.

  2. Omega logo is way too close.  I think this might be a case of you didn't like the first one, so the dealer took new pictures of the same watch and tried again.  If I were you I would ask him to find a watch that has a nicely placed logo and try again.

    Don't settle.

  3. This kind of thing really makes me mad.  I messaged the seller (in case he truly didn't know) and then reported it to eBay.  You guys know you can click the "report item" in the lower right corner right?  I think the more reports, the better chance that eBay will remove the listing.

I mean, I agree that if someone is stupid enough to pay $1700 for a watch they don't know is real then they doesn't deserve the money to begin with.  However, this could be a situation where a guy tells his wife he wants a SMP and she finds this on eBay not really knowing what to look for and just goes off the feedback rating.  I could easily see my wife doing something like that.

Anyway, it just sucks, and I hate thieves!

  4. Oh it is! but that's the balancing thing here, he was happy with the QC, I was just pointing out that was tilted(which he didn't mention...), after that he can do as he sees fit. In this case the watch QC looks very good with one of the best pearls I've seen so I personally I would accept it and straighten the logo, but everyone is different.

The balancing thing with these atm seems to be between getting a good one and getting one quickly. I'm sure once the initial craze and cny ends people will be a lot more rigid on what they accept. Also I think we are now being brought back down to the reality of reps whereas at the start everyone was comparing QC pics to gens, it's all a compromise, 42mm has worse omega lettering but better AR, 45mm has worse AR than 42mm but better pearl and logos etc!

Cougar, how do you straighten out the omega logo?  How is it attached to the face?

  5. Looks more like an engraving filled with paint rather than just paint on metal.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

And let me clear the air, I never meant to come off as upset or [censored] off about the "liquidmetal" logo.  I just said I'll buy the 42 that has a more correct back.  Nobody needs to try to calm me down or talk me off the ledge...

    really?  "pi$$ed" is censored?

  6. Looks very good to me scarface, but the omega logo does looks a little tilted in the first pic, just slightly but it is tilted. It's a pity as the watch is one of the best so far I've seen. Whether you want to accept it with the tilted logo is up to you. You're right on the happy feet though, only a couple so far, but a good few tilted correct logos like yours are coming out. If it was me I'd accept and straighten the logo, but up to you.

I'm sorry, I think that Omega logo is more than just a little tilted.  I noticed it right away.  I would reject that one for sure...

  7. Putting an LM logo on the back of this watch is just plain incorrect, and I'm not sure why they would do it.  You might as well put "Speedmaster" on the face.  You're right, I don't think anyone I know would have a clue.  Hell, I was at an AD the other day and the girl working the Omega counter told me all of the ceramic bezels were liquidmetal.

But that's not the point.  I would know and it would bother me.  A lot of people buy fantasy watches just because they like the way they look, and that's fine too.  If you don't care, then have at it.  I'm just not going to buy one with such an obvious flaw.
