Hi folks, just signed up but I have been 'lurking' for a while.
I own a Gen Omega Seamaster that I have had for about 10 years, I got into Replica watches as I wanted a Seamaster I could wear without worrying about getting it damaged at work and while I was out fishing or on the mountain bike.
I have also had a go at repairing a couple of cheap watches and managed more by luck than design to get them working again.
What I aim to do now is try and put together a nice GMT Master II or 'Bond' Sub.
Hope to have some fun

WD-40 isn't a lubricant.
As for comparing it to bearings in an aircraft engine, why?
The original watches are very reliable and theyr run for years. Because the bearing makes a noise doesn't mean it's faulty. It means it is made to a certain specification and tolerance. Obviusly as the watch is reliable the manufacturers have specified the bearing correctly.
