Mine has been swimming, hot tubbing and cliff diving with no problem. I just tightened up the caseback a little bit, and it was good to go.

Depends on the watch. My wrist fluctuates in size during the day, so with metal bracelets I have to size the a little larger or they will feel way too tight at times. With leather straps I wear the watch to be just "snug", and it sits in the traditional position.

One thing ! notice is that the bezel of the gen has two notches between each rider tab whilst your rep seems to have three. Is that just a reflection?

I'm still using my 2nd gen 10gig ipod, with no issues ever. Never had any problems hooking up ipods to macs, but have spent many hours helping friends out with PCs and ipods.

Have you tried using a mac?

Just to clarify, the "UPO Lite" is no longer available. It was a limited run done by Josh and Andrew, and they are all gone. Angus (Puretime) has now marketed an "UPO Lite", but it is NOT anywhere close to the J&A version. It lacks, sapphire, AR, SNs on the case, Steel movement holder, anti magnetic sheild, and doesn't have the proper crown. To insinuate that this watch is in any way "Ultimate" is just another little white lie IMO. That said, at less than $100 its probably a nice "beater" watch.

I really don't understand why nobody has started a business selling modded Navis. I would imagine that you could pick up 10 of these watches at a decent price, then do an AR run on the crystals. Adding gen dials is easy, and I bet these "Ultimate" Navitimers would be a very hot item!
