  1. Heres the accused mans website. he's the guy in the middle "Showtime" http://www.lilcityproductions.com/index1.html A little bit about his background... http://www.zoominfo.com/Search/PersonDetai...sonID=138463911 A more detailed story http://www.canada.com/windsorstar/news/loc...0d3&k=50513 and finally, the accused...
  2. BTW, one other improvement is that the date window bevel is nice and crisp, and slightly larger. Its hard to even see it on my black one, but very clean and crisp on the orange.
  3. When the crown stripped on my black one, I removed about 2mm from the stem, and filed a bit off the end of the crown tube. This allows the crown to close tightly against the case. As I never intended on swimming in that one, its not that big a deal.
  4. From what I can see, yours appears to be the updated version. The subtle changes are really hard to capture in pics, but the Omega logo on yours appears to be more flat, like my new one. Its still not like the gen logo which is perfectly flat on top, but its a lot closer than the previous version.
  5. The generosity of some of our members never ceases to amaze me. Kudos to you Relaxman!
  6. What is the difference in size? Is the gen tube snug in the case or is it way too small? If it is snug, I would simply epoxy it in place. Of course the only proper method would be to make a sleeve that could be pressed into the case, then tapped to match the omega tube.
  7. I'll try to get something posted for tomorrow.
  8. I've had my black/white Ultimate lite for a little while now, but due to a stripped crown tube and my reluctance to send such an inexpensive watch back to China, Andrew offered to send me a new one at a discounted price. I chose the Pumpkin version this time, and it arrived this morning. I had it sized, and now that its been on my wrist for a few hours, I've noticed some nice improvements over my black bezeled version.
  9. My 2nd PO arrived minutes ago, and it feels remarkably tighter than the first one did. The first one would screw down 4 or 5 turns, but unscrewing about a half turn would pop out the crown. This one seems tight both ways. The build quality seems much better on this one also. Dial markers are good, logo is straight, and the pearl is perfect. Also the clasp is much tighter. I'll be getting my watchmaker to size it up over lunch!
  10. Same problem here. After taking it apart and examining the pieces I would guess that there are two types of POs Those that are stripped and Those that will be stripped. The threads on the inside of the crown tube are so fine that they are almost non existent. As it appears to be made of soft brass, I can't see any of these holding out for the long term.
  11. DWS is right, its a Bob Breitling strap. The shiny, no-grain look was one of the things that I originally didn't like about this strap, but it gives this watch an outstanding look.
  12. Rather ironic isn't it? They're trying to make rubber look like leather and I'm trying to make leather look like rubber!
  13. I've got an Orange 45mm showing up this week, and I didnt want them both on steel bracelets. So, I went over to the Omega site to see what they were selling, and noticed the black rubber with white stitching. Im really liking this look! Here's some quick wrist shots... here's the Gen for comparison...
  14. My apologies TTK. You are correct. I had been looking at a members chrono model in the weekend wristcheck section prior to posting here. I hadn't paid too much attention to Andrew's post because I had no interest. Sorry again, my mistake. PS, now you have my permission to make me look stupid!
  15. TTK, I'll take your word for it because I know who you are. You obviously have more access to info than I do, but that gives you no right to try to make me look stupid. Yes, I know you have the Ferarri advertised, I drooled over your wonderful pics for quite some time. You do not however have the chronograph model listed (the one which J&A are offering). In fact, a quoute from your post states this... Lastly, I have stated many times that I will no longer buy from these guys until there is some kind of resolution to this situation. I wouldn't buy my "hearts desire" from them right now if it was half the price.
  16. Get a grip. TTK doesn't even have this watch, nor has he posted a price for the ones he has on order. Also, this is the "newest release" on his site, so why not post it here? Thats what we wanted him to do! TTK's a big boy, and if he feels he is being bent over backwards, I'm sure he'll tell us about it. But don't go slagging these guys for everything they do. They have screwed up, but they have a long track record of doing things right. Don't spit on their olive branch is all I'm saying.
  17. I was very vocal in the charges against Andrew, he may not want to send me anything even if I pay for it. @TTK - You made recommendations regarding Andrew & Josh's punishment the other day. I don't think its fair to take shots when they seem to be making an effort to comply with those recommendations. @TJG - Thanks mate, I've got a thick skin. But if Andrew wants to send be one of those beautiful ferarris...
  18. Okay guys settle down. I actually would like to commend Andrew for this. Its a very decent watch, at a great price. Also, for the first time in ages, the watch is posted here, as it should be. Be honest, and stay competitive. People will forgive if you make the effort. Cheers, andreww
  19. Actually, the Bentley is not a pilot watch. While the Navitimer slide rule is set up to measure things like airspeed, fuel rate, eta, etc., you will notice that the Bentley bezel is quite different. I believe it is set up to measure such things as acceleration. It is in fact a "automotive" watch, not a pilots piece.
  20. Bracelet is great. Clasp could be a little tighter, but its never popped open or anything.
  21. Good summary TTK. I'd go along with your proposal, but I'm not sure how that would work for Josh and Andrew. Remember, they have a huge catalogue of stuff, and their dealer sections would go on forever. Without a link to their sites they would be ineffective. How do you think it would work for them?
  22. Ruby has posted at RWI that she now has access to the HBB. Even she seems a little taken aback. Is this a sign that the cartel is making quick changes in policy in order to disprove the allegations? Maybe, maybe not, but the timing seems coincidental.
