  1. Im specifically speaking of the 21ks from about the last 6 months before the 28k. Rarely did I see any complaints during that period.
  2. Those new rep straps look very nice indeed. Awesome combination mate!
  3. Go to an AD and try one on. What size is your wrist?
  4. I've said it before. I don't think the 28k 7750 is up to par with the previous 21k version. Given the option I would choose the 21k every time. The 21k is also an easier swap with the swiss versions.
  5. As I figured, Trusty has made things right!
  6. I think you are over thinking it. Your original thought process was correct, and AR on the outside of the crystal is stupid. Its only a matter of time before it becomes scarred. Especially for someone like me that is constantly polishing my watches. If someone were to call out my PO due to its lack of AR, I would simply tell them I removed it due to it constantly marking. What's the point of having a nice hard sapphire crystal when you are going to coat it with such a delicate substance as AR?
  7. He knows my problem. I've sent 2 PMs. If he can help me out it would be great.
  8. Well, my crown threads finally gave out completely on Friday. I've sent Andrew 2 PMs about it but haven't heard back. I decided to shorten the stem, but as I was trying to remove the crown, the stem snapped in half. [censored]. Anyway, after spending most of the weekend fabricating a sleeve to repair the stem, and shortening it to the perfect length, all is well. Except that I should probably shave about 1.5 mm off the crown tube, but I wont do that till I hear if Andrew will send a new crown/stem.
  9. It might. All you are trying to do is spin it the opposite direction that it already slipped. Give it a try!
  10. Corgi, your posts never looked so gooooood!
  11. I really think that is a bad idea. The threads on these things a small, and its not going to take much to strip them. IMO, the stem is likely too long and needs to be shortened. Easy check is to remove the movement and see how well the crown works with the empty case. If it screws down nicely, you know the stem is too long.
  12. It doesn't break. What happens is that the collar spins on the shaft because of the high torque. This can happen on gens too. Just don't reset when the hand is more than 10 seconds from 12 and you won't have a problem.
  13. Glad I could help. You would think the dealers would send instructions out with these watches?
  14. YES, always stop with the TOP button. Then RESET with the Bottom one.
  15. Try running it to 25 seconds. Stop using top button. reset using bottom button. Do this a few times and see if you can spin it back.
  16. What do you mean "it doesn't reset properly"?
  17. You should try not to reset the chrono when the second hand is more than 10 seconds from 12. There is enough force that the second hand will spin too far and no longer reset properly.
  18. Sounds right so far. Wind the watch about 25 times. Then shake lightly for a minute. Press the top button. That will start the chrono. Press the top button again, and that will stop it. Let the chrono run to within 10 seconds of 12, then stop (top button). Press the bottom button to reset.
  19. OUTSTANDING! He needs a matching Avatar btw!
  20. Ahhh, I was wondering why my "date Joined" said March 18th. I know I'm slow, but not that slow!
  21. Would that be a French flag with a chicken replacing the American eagle?
